The Hidden Treasure !

Father not born with a silver spoon,
Heaven and earth he moved,
Wanted to be rich anyhow soon,
Yet in abject poverty he remained.

His two sons delighted in idle talk,
Grieved father seriously thought,
His sons took life in to an easy walk,
An urgent meeting with his sons he sought.

"Sons I have no magic wand,
I forgot the exact place where I hid-
Our family treasure in our land ?
As he said, alas ! he immediately died.

Orphaned sons left no space,
They tilled all all the land all-out,
In search of treasure dug all the place,
Dismayed, sowed seeds throughout.

To their wonder the yield was higher,
By every harvest they became richer,
"Hard work" their amiable mother,
So they thanked their beloved father.

No Free Lunch Anywhere !

A grey-haired father on his death-bed,
To speak to his sons his last wish,
One day all his sons he summoned,
And to teach them, the only aim of his.

All at once came on that day,
He said,"Life is done, believe,"
Perturbed what their father would say,
"I have no gold or silver to give."

I give something more"looked aghast,
Oh ! All burst in to loving tear,
Pointing to an ornate box, died at last.
In grief opened the ornate box near.

Only to find'Solemn Words'there,
"My sons,No Free Lunch Anywhere"

Anger Is The Need Of The Hour !

Abraham Lincoln looked beyond,
His anger brouht them freedom,
Hated slavery, he ever condemned,
Found his solace in his martyrdom.

Mahatma Gandhi took an armour,
Against a mighty empire,
"Truth and non-violence" for ever,
Mass movements made them retire.

B.R.Ambedkar was extremely angry,
O'er injustice to the oppressed,
Brought in constitutional remedy,
He won freedom for dalits depressed.

Fight social evils with utmost power,
Anger is the need of the hour.

One More Mile !

Not born great by birth,
Nor greatness thrust upon them,
Their achievement in this earth,
Little or great made them a gem.

From grass-root to grandeur,
With unlimited endeavour,
Hard work and talents ever,
Did contribute in their favour.

Edison or Einstein did shine,
In invention highly masculine,
A new world their only dream,
Light energy did ever go supreme.

They made the world to smile,
Never failed to go one more mile.

Haiku !

Tears
In the eyes of the fish
Not crocodile tears.

Frog on the lily pad
Some on the beach
Sun bath.

Phoenix rises from ashes
After death, like spring
After autumn.

To sleep they hang
High flier mammal
The bats.

Sudden showers
Frog enters,snake follows
The reptile swallows.

Go with the tide
No guts to swim against
Cowards afraid.

Aged Willow
Shaky on canyon
Drunkard.

Olive branch
Brothers make peace
Blood is thicker.

Intermittent
Spring rainCheck Spelling
The cricket goes on.

Morning glory
Around my house
Truth is beauty.

Haiku !

Greenish peacocks
In excitement dance
Poor turkey too rocks.

Wind of Everest
Here brings Kashmir
Cool chill air.

Waterfall
In the midst of woods
Hanging Eden.

Twinkling star
In my room flashes
Firefly plays.

River
In the middle of forest
Sound of music.

Who bells the cat?
Let the cat in
See the rat is out.

The dried up leaves
Blown by the wind
Autumn unkind.

Harvest moon
Tillers are happy
Thanks Giving Day.

'Yellow' spangles
In the crimson sky
Moon glitters.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

House on a hill
Stands in rain or shine
Parable of theTeacher.

Branches so bare
No birds do dare
Autumn Eve.

A flower garden
Sound of buzzing bees
Spring in action.

Abandoned lake
Swans swim
Snow storm.

First buds
On the tree branches
Spring flowers.

First cold shower
A new experience
A coat in need.

A green frog
Truly green not painted
Splashed.

Birds crying
Butterfly starving
Spring exiting.

Sparkling blue sea
Retreating waves
Cloudy skies.

Banyan tree
Branches bare,shoots many
Lone crow caws.

Haiku !

Trees at night
Make shelter for sparrows
No noise.

Graveyard
My mother rests here
Sad dream.

Scorching
Sunflowers down
Pitiless sun.

Land of roses
Behind every rose
Thorn.

A lone lily
Butterfly pokes in
Spring morn.

In to the mirror
Saw my crumbled face
Autumn without grace.

Moon reaches
The earth from the skies
Thunder and light.

Remote village
The dogs at night bark
Winter dark.

An old pond
Crane standing on one leg
Fishing.

Moonlit lake
Little water, deers two
She-deer acted.

Miles To Go And Miles To Go !

Oh! West Wind where art thou ?
People say, thou art everywhere,
Thou hast not seen her how?
My sweetheart, I find nowhere.

Oh ! Skylark tell my Margaret,
In depth of oceans, in thick of forest,
Wandering out for her sweet heart,
With heart so heavy, no mind to rest.

Oh ! Thou Dark Clouds of the skies,
Hast thou seen my little Margaret ?
Her lock of hair and her blue eyes,
For which for long I do in pain regret.

Oh ! Thou Little Beautiful Moon,
How thou can be so unkind?
Bring my Margaret soon,
Bestow no room to remind.

Oh! Waves, Mountains and Fields,
Come I, Margaret I know,
Nature's treachery that shields,
I have miles to go and miles to go.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Martin Luther King !

My dear Martin Luther King,
Hymns of praise I sing,
You have ranked so high,
Like Lincoln but I sigh.

Make me think Gandhi here,
Known as Father so dear,
Left the treacherous world,
Unfinished and undone.

Kennedy's memories I cherish,
Let the condemned killers perish,
Tears flow for such noble sons,
On thought of those deadly guns.

There couldn't be justice,
Segregated with so much ease,
For creed and colour,
It's shame and not valour.

Though you all have gone,
Your ghosts, each lives on,
Make us happy evermore,
Let me sing this joyous lore.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Smile And Smile !

There is a blessing in a smile,
It captures man's nerves,
Drives out worries not for a while
So he miraculously towers.

There is a breeze in a smile,
It fans all lingering pains away,
Sends out torments not for a while,
Through it man finds a way.

There is a moon light in a smile,
It makes everyone affectionate,
It communicates love not for a while,
Throws away all inhuman hate.

There is a sunshine in a smile,
Every heart it brightens and warms,
Spreads brotherhood not for a while,
Without any alibi or norms.

In life let there be cheers,
Better be a happy slave,
Than a sorrowful king for years,
Let smile ever make you brave.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Most Unkindest Cut !

The most unkindest cut of all,
Heartless men cause his fall,
Sink their own conscience's call,
Yet they can't claim tall.

Poor thinkers boast to be horns,
But most detestable thorns,
An indelible curse on humanity fair
An awful specimen of vice,beware.

The killers of gratitude,
The murderers of fortitude,
More akin to barbarous beasts,
Of victims enjoy their own feasts.

Such men in history's mirror,
Possess the ugliest face of horror,
Go down in history as betrayers,
Criticised at several layers.

Of course they plant seeds,
Accordingly they reap deeds,
Oh ! mighty Caesar fell,
All Brutuses deserve only hell.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Cuckoo shivers
Tries to sing but
Only a cry.

Behold
The clouds hide
The moon.

Autumn chill
Abandoned road
No birds, no men.

Wandering monk
Rosary in his hand
Aimless clouds.

Vision not clear
Morning chill severe
Autumn frost.

Forest lush green
Lonely house seen
Rich spring.

Rose,
None behind my beauty
Only Root.Bold

Venus for love
Cupid for arrows
Love is blind.

Spring for bloom
Autumn for gloom
Winter for doom.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Sparrows on a tree
Strange silence
The sun has set.

Old Willow
Its image shaky on
In the canyon.

Grass withers
Flower falls
Autumn deepens.

No one travels
On this lonely path
Distressed life.

Long journey
O'er a withered moor
White hair and cane.

Blooms glee
On Autumn sun
A peach tree.

Deluge
Devastation huge
Cry onion-farmers.

Starved earth
Sigh of gain
Sound of rain.

Bamboo grove
Autumn wind sings
A flute.

Winter bites
Nightingale sings
Only broken beats.

Haiku !

Wintry cold stoops
Lotus in India
Droops.

Lily in a pond
Torrents beat drums
Sound of summer rains.

Blazing spring
Blossoms far and wider
Sound of thunder.

Graveyard silence
No birds, no noise
Autumn enters.

Spring moon
Blossoms galore
Shine everywhere.

A pied man
Plays on his flute
Autumn tune.

A generous bird
Indian crow shouts caw
Shares food

A sparrow
Nothing but noise
But in Christ's eyes ?

Rain drops
Make black cherries
Glitter as pearls.

Winter morn
Dew on grass goes
Sun rises.

Not To Emma Of Keats !

O come dearest Emma ! the stars bloom,
The spring just awakes from its gloom
The streams glide like pearls in the moon,
There the amorous zephyr doth swoon.

O come dearest Emma !my queen fair,
Thou art softer than the gentle air,
In the green abode ,yonder! see birds two,
Let us go now its time to woo.

O Emma ! in that beauteous land,
I like to take thy lovely hand,
My heart thumps but why not thine,
And I find thy moon to shine.

O come dearest Emma ! to the pond,
Where the elm trees clustered stand,
All the birds began to slumber,
Let us our old story of love remember.

I'll not press thy fair knee or thy feet,
Unlike my passionate friend Keat,
If thee consent,my tears will greet,
How long to dwell in dreams sweet ?

I find in thee an angel's grace,
But thou hardly differ from human race,
O Angel ! how unkind thou could be,
An angel yet human thou perplex me.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

I Call Her My Wife !

She is more than my life,
I call her my wife,
Almighty's writ runs,
We abide by the heaven's.

My maker chose my companion,
Indeed a peaceful pigeon,
Infused lofty qualities in her,
Ordered me to be her partner.

She is above Caesar's Calpurnia,
Old King Lear's daughter Cordelia,
Passionate Antony's Cleopatra kind,
Or green wood Orlando's Rosalind.

To me, she as waves to the ocean,
Green as springs passion,
As stars to those blue skies
She is after all my own eyes.

Me a boat, she its oar,
Smoothly sail from shore to shore,
Me a flower, she its beauty,
If me a truth, she its sincerity.

In my own kingdom,
She an angel with freedom,
In her lord's health,
She heaves her own breath.

She webs a world around me,
She worships me on her knee,
In fondness when I kiss,
A hundred years to live I wish.

When I come as a wrecked ship,
Harbours me with a kiss on my lip,
She lulls me to sleep,
After she sheds her tears of weep.

For her every drop of tears,
Had I to reparate for years,
She a peak in her conjugal love,
Yet she heads to look above.

Innocence Outshines Excellence !

The great Nehru's vast land awakes,
In its flora and fauna that pleasure makes,
Its varied animals in their abode a thrill,
To watch them while on ferocious drill.

Heavy down pour blesses the North,
While acute drought rules the South,
The two great halves in climate differ,
Either by flood or famine they suffer.

Its contribution to the West so rich,
The people's status a human breach,
At the sad spectacle grieves the foreigner,
Oh ! poverty should repeat never.

It lives in the scattered villages,
For its uplift one must toil for ages,
People reside in small huts,
Especially in those great hamlets.

All diseases find a new life here,
All sick folks everyday shed tear,
There the sun sets with a poor meal,
When it rises bleak how do you feel ?

Oh ! but the people here so much kind,
Their love,their culture doth remind,
I carry back home their unique innocence,
Perhaps it outshines all our excellence.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

A Nation As Myrtle Wreaths !

The air I breathe my fellow breathes,
The cursed contradictions man never sinks,
Despite the differences that fly in the wings,
A nation we make as myrtle wreaths.

The grey Himalayas and the little hills,
The great green woods, fields and rivers,
And all nature makes a nation of ours,
This land with mirth our hearts fills.

We in brotherhood look beyond Himalayas,
And when we extend our helping hand,
We make ours a legend of holy land,
We no more just look beyond Vindhyas.

Let us shed all narrow mindedness,
And let us go one more mile,
To make all the world citizens smile,
Let this humanism everyone bless.

God did create earth in beauteous vision,
Just look at the free birds of the air,
They in glee travel wide, those birds fair,
But why man fails in this poetic affection?

One sun, one moon and all their ray,
We in common brotherhood share,
But human tears find solution nowhere,
Why man fails to look beyond the bay ?

Oh ! this land never causes tears flow,
Instead we share joys and sufferings,
Let human kindness submerge ill feelings,
With this great zeal let the world glow.

When the world makes an ideal home,
And all nations stand as mighty pillars,
When all men exchange love as brothers,
A paradise we carve as world's epitome.

Elegy On Dr.Anna !

Dr.Anna is deep in sleep,
While all we stand and weep,
All this world with flora and fauna,
Is mere a jungle without Dr.Anna.

I just not believe the story,
Which carries much worry,
The hero of this great tragedy,
Gone,no solitude,no remedy.

Gone are the days and my friends,
The hand of death our hearts rends,
Is he gone for ever?
Gone to the winds,Oh! never.

A gem of gems, a monumental loss,
To this, to this great country alas!
No Promethean heat,
Lo! We hear the distant drums beat.

Why this forest of beauty,
So turned in to anarchy?
The nightingale sings in melancholy,
The cuckoo weeps so mournfully.

Tell this bitter tale of woe,
A friend and noblest foe,
Let all come to mourn this sage,
Who acted so well on the world's stage.

When his radiant eyes are shut in death,
We bow our heads, hold our breath,
The precursor of this Reason Age,
Had he gone to make his pilgrimage?

That god- gifted organ voice is dumb,
Where shall we go,to his marble tomb,
When shall we hear his thundering speech,
Yonder!Echoes in the sands of beach.

From Goethe's wisdom and Byron's force,
He took up courage, did take his course,
Burning forehead and eloquent tongue,
Did make masses after him hung.

He had promises to keep, destiny to guide,
From the Tower of Darkness people cried,
Yet maintained silence and not replied,
With melancholy in vain we tried.

South Indian Gandhi of ours,
Legislated against hot liquors,
Was he crying in wilderness?
All became this day motionless.

His footprints were in the sands of time,
His pet names were in mused rhyme,
Cancer did cause his leave,
Adieu ! Leaving us all to grieve.

The lips of death he did kiss,
Never to be his bliss,
Forlorn ! his life a dream,
Failed to be Tennyson's stream.

The viper came with venom,
Treated him as Harry,Dick and Tom,
Stealthily creeped out having stung,
Thus the bell of death knell it rung.

The sun extinguished and looked dark,
Birds shrieked,dogs did bark,
In the woods animals ran in fears,
On every human eyes there were tears.

Death did vie his meteoric eminence,
Unwilled to leave him in predominance,
It snatched his life with all its force,
Like playful Lucy does with rose.

The waves of the ocean jumped high,
As if to touch the distant gloomy sky,
Everywhere the question echoed"why",
Unanswered waves came back'nigh'.

Death were to be human it's blind,
With a palsied mind,
It proved so much unkind,
Like dagger from behind.

Like a fish gasping for breath,
A fluttering kite in the zenith,
Our hearts began to bleed,
Sorrow we were able to read.

Honoured him the famous Yale,
World shed tears on this sad tale,
His respect for the voice of dissent,
Still echoes and be reminiscent.

Before rights he taught us Duty,
We learnt of labour and its Dignity,
Also of conduct with great Discipline,
This triplets ran from our spine to spleen.

He will not come back to live for years,
Even if dedicate a sea of tears,
We know Dr.Anna is deep in sleep,
While all we stand and weep.

I Call M.G.R An Angel ! PART TWO

Burst a thunderous noise that rocked slumber,
All gods shocked to see a blazing red ball roll,
Like comet of Jesus in the blue firmament whole,
All took their chariots from their chamber.

In the clouds one by one began to follow,
The blazing red ball that did go,
O'er hill and o'er vale that moved so,
Many more miles at wings of a swallow.

Tired gods couldn't wait,
The blazing red ball did cross,
The great mount Vindhyas,
Earth whispered"It be south India might".

Like an airfilled baloon in ocean's wave,
Floated in the air the red ball brave,
It flew with a falling meteor's speed,
Like the whirlwind fast blown reed.

Venus whispered to Apollo "It stops,
Over Madras" all gods did descend,
Their wondrous journey came to an end,
The red ball still this gorgeous roof tops.

Innumerable children with an holy angel,
There perhaps an heaven in earth,
It was whether in life or after death,
At this gods did suffocate, couldn't tell.

Through the garret came the golden rays,
Which illumined the spotless angel,
All the children in love fondly fell,
The angel did reciprocate and embrace.

The greatest hall with domes and columns,
Found in rolling colourful beams of light,
The thronging children burst in delight,
When each one found in gayful helms.

All gods excepting none entrapped in thrills,
Hearing the melodious sound of the music,
Never heard before such as one so fantastic,
Oh ! it embalmed all human ills.

No sorrow could express their faces,
In health lustrous children brimmed,
Their cheers of sunshine spread,
Their countenances shone like roses.

The angel's tender wings of feathers,
Projected a strange but beautiful hue,
Which made all the children woo,
Yet remained solemn in all weathers.

Venus smiled at the sweet scent,
That spread to miles by the fragrant air,
The whole domain so looked fair,
All the gods their thoughts deeper sent.

The gentle angel gently moved,
But the children marched like soldiers,
With their heroic shoulders,
As tears dropped the gods bowed.

The children's rosy cheeks blushed,
When the angel rang the bell of Towers,
All knelt in for prayers,
All gods headed by Jupiter blessed.

As heaven's scattered stars,
Twinkled the golden plates in their hands,
When the numerous children found in bands,
They looked as if marching for wars.

"They yet are children but so bold,
Heroic,intelligent and strong,
A brave new world made to belong,
To posterity" gods in ecstasy told.

The angel as radio active did emanate,
Beams of light where children did shine,
Wonder struck stood those gods nine,
The seraph fed and the children ate.

What a nutritious meal,
Those heavenly children did take,
And those gods liked to partake,
Something lost,found they did feel.

When the children finished their meal,
The angel began to teach,
Many arts like those sands of beach,
Gods again and again looks did steal.

The humbled Earth now exalted stood,
Fragrant smokes that filled the citadels,
Mingled with sounds of the celestial bells,
Amid cheers the gods the good Earth led.

The gods entered and began to speak,
"Oh! good angel we suffered a loss,
Without a solution alas ! alas!
Now we found,"Why our men are weak"?

"For body nutritious food, for soul education,
This philosophy can n't implement,
But we give you a good complement,
May you be a god and build up our nation!"

At once the blazing red ball did crown,
The angel and gods did see,
A flooded light of mercuric waves of sea,
O'er the waves like god the seraph shone.

The gods ordained him a children's star,
Left all their problem in his hands,
Melted in to clouds o'er those sands
Giving the angel the name M.G.R

(Mighty,Great,Revolution)

I Call M.G.R An Angel ! PART ONE

Lords of worlds in conference met,
Sick at heart drowned in gloom,
No solution in sight to bloom,
Grieved at last arrived at nought.

Deliberation seemed incomplete,
All the time all they worried,
Talks incensed and electrified,
Yet none knew how to replete.

The glorious Earth began to speak,
"All is not well in my world",
The matchless king tragically told,
The king thus rendered meek.

He did utter in utter dismay,
Half his population fell sick and weak,
To head them he considered a bleak,
"God of the sick"any one can say.

"Heroic people are no more,
People hate love for adventure,
Timid,weak,diseased without rapture,
Has no physic to go from shore to shore.

Thus complained the God of Earth,
To the August Assembly to consider,
The reason why the people are weaker?
Heaving a heavy sigh sat without mirth.

For order and discipline known,
The great Marsian king,
Hymns of praise his warriors did sing,
Rose to voice points his own.

"Markedly my men were stronger,
But I find these days a difference,
That I must tell this royal conference,
I don't know why now they are weaker".

Marsian king with his martial arts,
Made his nation once strong,
His warlike inhabitants did no wrong,
But now weak of body and of hearts.

Reddish vapour resumed to Mars' seat,
In contrast surpassing whiteness spread,
Love God Venus' face everyone read,
With choking and increasing heart's beat.

Venus raised her organic voice,
"People are weak of body"Earth said,
"Also weak of soul" she declared,
While Uranus gazed at Jupiter wise.

None can defy cupid's play,
But today he is the loser almost,
Many embrace Pluto after love's game lost,
And in the house of Hades innumerable lay.

Men are not poised and balanced,
Every chance to fall they never miss,
They betray even their heartiest kiss,
Morally wreck they are so succumbed.

All that glitters here made gold,
Soulless life here does claim fame,
Man does forget that he is lame,
From women to women he is sold.

A timid a weakling and not bold,
Human race so awfully turned,
Disgusted Venus so pungently warned,
She resumed to the seat of gold.

There enveloped a silence of grave,
Who is to follow Venus no one knew,
Perhaps with Jupiter there were a few,
To speak to make the human race brave.

At the time the mighty Jupiter rose,
Like new found lover all gods did gaze,
"No philosophy,no aim binds the race,
They became so vile to discard the rose,

Values lost, character sold,
Truth killed, honesty rare,
I find no man any where,"
Thus all human heads Jupiter rolled.

While Jove resumed,heared a tune,
So nice the voice of Neptune,
When zephyr gently blown,
With Jove his consent sown.

The fairest Neptune spoke further,
"The sad defect in man I also find,
That he terribly lacks a sound mind,
To love no one but his own neighbour."

All gods laughed through tears,
At the sad spectacle of man,
In his beautiful world how he ran,
He cann't recompense even for years.

Saturn the king of the ringed planet,
Stood with his eyes so red,
"Tooth for tooth and blood for blood,
Man ebbs so low in his beautiful islet."

Apollo who radiates abundant sunlight,
Observes man in his darkest jungle,
"In vileness and knavery never does bungle,
He leads a pathetic life without delight."

All gods at consensus did arrive,
That man is weak and without education,
They united to make their's a brave nation,
To make them ever honourable and thrive.

Create A Brave New World !

There is liberty and fraternity,
No trace of hunger and poverty,
All men walk on loved equality,
Discard racism and hated slavery.

Nature our only declared religion,
Devoid of all sort of contagion,
No contamination,no pollution,
Our public life is without corruption.

Science has not given us true peace,
Not enough that we fly in space,
And fathom the depths of ocean,
We aim for a better civilisation.

In the bygone three thousand years,
We had fifteen thousand bitter wars,
A nuclear war means only sorrows,
After that only bows and arrows.

In our world, wars we will ban,
War is born in the heart of man,
So set the man to do right,
The world will be ever alright.

Food For Thought !

'If there is no food to any one'
Indian poet Bharathi declared,
The poet roared in true emotion,
'That we would destroy the world'.

'World Food Day'emulates in faith good,
Promises to outlaw hunger for ever,
Commitment the Indian PM in favour made,
Said, not to allow anyone to suffer.

Food is the fundamental human right,
But still many go without food,
Malnutrition is high in Indian hamlet,
African have-nots still go with out food.

O! world wake up from your long sleep,
Look at your brethren in distress deep.

Haiku !

Side by side woods
Mid-path disappeared
In summer rain.

Miami coast
Cold waves make surf
Beach playful.

Snow fall
Snow covered tree
White monsters.

Small is beautiful
Falling leaves colourful
Naked trees wonderful.

Christmas in Boston
Gift from Tennyson
For grandson Preston.

A tree in Eden
With forbidden fruit
Fall of man.

A tree so big
No fruits in the Fig
Jesus cursed .

Olive means peace
To Judas only death
Boomerang.

Withered Willow
Its image so shaky on
In the canyon.

Oak,Palm and Pine
All in one place
Tranquility.

Haiku !

Downpour
Glosses over except
Mountain near.

On a nameless hill
Clouds veils the sky
Can not view moon

Frog pond
Green frogs croak in joy
They do not coy.

Pacific coast
Gentle waves wet our shoes
No foot-prints

Summer eve
Idle on the beach
Sudden shower.

My garden
Visits chromatic fly
Rich spring.

Full moon
In pristine beauty
Enriches the sky.

Cyclonic storm
Centre's roof fell
House of cards.

Dusty wind blows
Deserts of Arizona
Cactus looks up.

Hot summer
Birds of varied hues bathe
An old pond.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Autumn dusk
Violent wind blows
Breaks branches.

Indian vase
Flowers fresh
No fragrance.

Christmas tree
Or living tree
Fight pollution.

What ever things
May happen
Autumn deepens.

On a rainy eve
Frogs croak
Sound of joy.

Golden yellow
Chrysanthemum in a crowd
Puts ice on the eyes.

Indian crows
So generous
Share food.

Little rats
I do not kill
My children watch.

So big a house
Man and women alone
Autumn in their hearts.

Galaxy
Innumerable stars
We gaze.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Tillers plough lands
God souls
Harvest in heaven.

What a shame
Somalians play foul game
Robbery on the seas.

Autumn gloom
I starred in to the mirror
Crumbled face.

For little money.
Brings water from far
Not in harmony.

I lead my horse
To pond near it blinks
Make it drink.

An old pond
Tadpoles jump in
Swim like dolphin.

Biting winter
I go in to my room
Place so warmer.

Crows fly away
From banyan tall
At siren's call.

Flowers grove
Chromatic butterfly
Takes nectar.

A mountain of ice
Climbed Everest peak
Dream realised.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Make it drink

Haiku !

In my old home
Cherries are in bloom
But I'm far off.

On a hilltop
Distressed man prays
Go winter, come spring.

Autumn dusk
Outrageous wind blows
No leaves to fall.

Plantation workers
Work in muddy soil
In harvest no turmoil.

In to the window
I see flowers red
A sea of red.

Stars in the trees
Are but flowers
Monkeys do visit.

The hell is empty
Devils in the neighbourhood
Play out of tune.

Bloom or doom
Let flower to live
Glut of the eye.

Sings Vaigai river
A new song
In cherished Tamil.

Fighting for water
Cauvery dispute
Discounts our repute.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Autumn deepens
Trees wither and shiver
Pains no rains.

The sun is hotter
Summer at its peak
No sound of water.

No one here
No one there-still
Snow flakes fall.

'May'gets rain
I may not get my grace
A withering face.

Dusk to dawn
Loneliness and gloom
Autumn reigns.

Dull and dry
Just one red leaf seen
In the Oak tree.

My grandson
Plays on his violin
Fully in tune.

Let us not unite
To vanish and to dither
Go on one's way.

Tiller of the soil
Soiled but seedlings
Fresh and green.

Cool Autumn dusk
Green frogs,black tadpoles
Jump in the pool

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Blue sky in fall
Shrubs wither
Birds without feather

An old pond
Lonely swan on prowl
Catches a fish.

The fall of man
Serpent in the garden
Tempts Eve in Eden.

Web a trap
Spider weaves
To catch a prey.

Eagle in the skies
Looks down for
A chance to pounce.

Spider a worker
'Hard work'
Secret of success.

Judas betrays Jesus
For thirty silver coins
A Dirty Thirty.

Ever restless
Boisterous waves
A turbulent sea.

Shallow mind
Jumps high like waves
Deep sea never.

Now cherry blooms
Blossoms welcome
Spring has come.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Heart melts
Tear flows
Mary of Health heals.

Sunrise
Rays scarlet red
Over blue sky.

Grove of trees
Open gate to enter
A beach of bliss.

What a gloom
A withered moor
Autumn gives.

A blue sea
Ferocious shark swims
For a victim.

An hill resort
Houses upon rock stand
A pond near so grand.

A green field
A fox wonders at
Something strange.

Brown bear on knees
Looking up with folded hands
Prays for daily bread.

Spider a builder
Labours to make a web
Success in the end.

Sudden explosion
A sea of cherry flowers
Wonders Washington.

Haiku !

Sea and sky in blue
Pebbles on the shore
With surf excels.

Dark cloud, darker sea
Golden spangles
Adorns the sky.

On sunrise shine comes
In Christ
Mankind triumphs.

Green and orange leaves
Reflect in canyon
A mirror image .

Darkness a play field
Devil plays the match
Never misses the catch.

Wooden bridge
On the pathway
To dense forest.

Blue sea where
Somali culprits rob
And go scot free.

Bulls have no pasture
Deep Fall in force
'Fallen' tree needs grace.

Cat on the tree
Between trunks pokes in
Victim of Terror.

Darkness and light
Black and White co-exist
Two sides of a coin.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Orange clouds
Below range of rocks
For centuries thrive.

Flowers die, songs fade
Tales end, memories wane
God's will be done.

Where is the Alpha,
Omega of the galaxy?
Where begins,where ends.

A black page
Perhaps a monster is in
Eyes can't gauge.

Still water, dull sky
Lone palm tree greets
Gloomy eye.

Dry grey oak
In the nest robin
Fears winter chill.

Fall morn
The cuckoo is singing
Deep solitude

A small rat
Lives in the car-shed
Often visits me.

My grandson
And me play key-board
Autumn evening.

Green Elms
Look above for rain
Thirsty.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Just out of water
Duck and drake shiver
Enclose seen never.

Squirrel takes on sugar
Risks life to reach goal
Man lacks vigour.

Give and take
Butterfly takes, Aster gives
Nectar for pollen.

Only one lotus
In an old pond
Dances with breeze.

Vast expanse,clear sky
The dog barks at
Jaiho slumdog.

Days of ice exits
Oaks blossom
Spring enters.

Cactus of Arizona
Looks skyward
For water.

Host of tall trees
Only two stand so bold
Sad Twin Towers.

Sky pours down
An old pond
Collects all the rain.

Flowers everywhere
Spring brings blooms
Go away dooms

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku

Tall trees
On the bank of blue waters
An isle of solitude.

Host of green trees
Source of fresh air
Spring anew.

Crimson sky
On the sunrise
A play of joy.

A silent brook
Trees side by side
Blinks at the blue sky.

An herd of flowers
Stand and dance
A lone butterfly shies.

Pelican takes on
The strong preys on the weak
Jungle law.

Signature of God
Clear as the indigo skies
A feast to the eyes.

A lone butterfly
Drinks her cup of nectar
Lonely Vernonia gives.

Bulls with horns
Fight bush with thorns
Struggle to live.

Long neck,long legs
Wings white,a lone crane
Freely swims.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Sky high water-falls
Amid lush green rocks
Paradise on earth.

Dark clouds above
Placid blue waters below
Palms make welcome arch.

Ink blue sky
Worn out fort on a hill
Lavenders cheer.

Creeper of beauty
Vibrant red tetral leaves
Pseudo flowers.

Blue sky above
Withered trees by a river
Autumn on the moor

Tall oak trees
Stand in two rows
Mid-path delights.

My old mother
In my dream
All Souls Day

Noisy pestilence
Hits the shore
Oh! Katrina.

Tides wait here
Sea gulls and lonely child
Play on the old beach.

A lonely deer
Waits eyes on
For his female.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

No spring at Davos
Only winter snow
Bottom billion.

Unless two in one
Two can't enter its gate
Wedding.

Tall oak trees stand
Just like umbrellas
No rain,no shine.

Shepherd boy
Sheep graze grass
Calls each by name.

Hail storm,rain
And destructive wind
Tsunami.

Upon hills
Yellow daffodils
Dances spring.

Sickle on hand
Her song of sorrow
Autumn mourns.

Calm deep sea
High waves no more
No dance on the shore.

A deep Fall in life
Wait for relief
God gives.

A blue canopy above
Tides kneel before
A ravaged beach.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Autumn moon shines
Beauty of the skies
Envy human eyes.

High on my dream
I dare winter snow
Go to dream

No tears
For wolves and tigers
Dismayed Tamils.

Spring on the anvil
Crimson sun ascends
Blessing descends.

Here is a deluge
Of blessings come
Make enough room.

Spring rejoices
A green island
Tiller made.

Dark jungle
A path in the middle
Lavenders smile.

Indigo canopy
New tides kiss
Miss not Miami.

Sky pours down
Waves jump high
Pines stand by.

Chameleon's mouth
Wide open
To prey upon.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Anil's Olive Branch !

Blood is thicker than water,
Anil an Olive branch extends,
Truly plays a role greater,
So all legal battle ends,

No more wounds,no more wranglings,
With a generous heart and mind,
No pound of flesh,no bickerings,
Unparalleled and cuts most unkind.

In favour of welfare and betterments
Brothers of the same womb,
To resolve all disagreements,
Now bury the hatchet in a tomb.

'Peace' an element of the heart,
Pray never ever to depart.

Haiku !

Wolf is in a hole
Spider in her nest
A place to rest.

Spider a teacher
Bruce learnt Perseverance
Not a day dreamer.

A lamp gives light
God's word a lamp
Light for the path.

Frosty skies above
Barren oaks below
Pairs of horses graze.

Seeds were sown
Some fell among thorns
Choked and died.

Night of darkness
Lunar eclipse gets out
Grief turns to joy.

The White House
One Black prays to be in
Prayer answered.

Mountains be shaken
Hills be removed
His love ever stands.

Cheerful marigolds
Very near is their doom
Yet they bloom.

A fig tree stands
So tall without fruits
Jesus cursed.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Look at the birds,
Of the air,so free in glee
Free as breeze.

Blessed Jordan
Washed the feet
Of Jesus and John.

On God's commands
Tide obeys
Time too waits.

Polar ice melts
Time to call Noah back
Global warming

Ugly bankruptcy
Sad tale of two cities
New York and Hyderabad.

Global Tsunami
Damage as that of Satyam
Satanic.

God cares birds
Neither sow nor gather
Compassion.

Chesley lands jet
On the Hudson River
Miracle for ever.

Creations express
Wonder of Mars
Next door of earth.

The lonely deer
Looks for her mate
Lovely woods.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Sunflower adores
At sun's direction
Moves on.

Shine in summer
Go with the sun
Make hay.

God loves the earth
Opens up a new window
In distant Mars.

Do preserve woods
No more lip service
Walk the talk.

Forests,rivers,hills
All in one scenario
Greener world.

Here trees in millions
Yield fruits in trillions
Earn in billions.

Compassion rains
On orphans like sheep
Without a shepherd

Land of cactus
He fed five thousand
Autumn wonders.

Look at the North
A star afar teaches
Constancy.

Heavy rains
All go in to the ocean
Not a drop to drink.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Orchid flowers
Feast to the eyes
Autumn chill.

Comet with a tail
Hangs over in chill
Saviour does hail

Christmas winter dawn
Light a candle.
Shine comes.

Terror with ugly face
Blot on human race
And human face

The pregnant clouds
Of American skies
Rain in India.

Angel sings new song
On Preston Jude grand son
First Christmas.

One year new face
Preston Jude celebrates
First Happy Birthday.

Eclipse of sun
Is nothing,illiteracy
A deeper menace.

The sky is gloomy
Brighter sky will emerge
Blooms cherry.

Canker in flowers
Eats away its colour
Cancer a canker.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu

Haiku !

Bloody Terror
God condemns
Summer thunder.

Sky high Twin Towers
Mumbai Five Stars seek
To bury Terror.

Darker clouds
Bring springtime cheer
Mercy rains

Judgment,advice
Grey hair all in one
Rainbow colours.

God a greater Picasso
Paints azure skies
Rainbow day.

Gods works are clean
Polluting nature a sin
Cleaner air our kin.

God's creations
Are but poetic beauty
Praise the Lord Poet.

Winter joy
Christmas carols give
For mankind.

No stars of the sky
Give a great joy
But December.

What's in a name
Terror by any name
Stink.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Lives on waters
Fishermen everyday write
Story of tears.

Hunger
Under the Black Sun
Globe yet to see.

After Fall
Spring comes
A new life begins.

A small step
A giant leap after all
A sea of drops.

Sun on the sea
Going down,up again
Autumn sunrise.

Calm or storm
Doubly perform
Un to the last.

Every small creature
Works for livelihood
No free lunch.

Bid adieu
Birds on new wings
A sweet sorrow.

Like more rain
Too much of anything
Is more pain.

Sky is no limit
Heaven's blessings vast
Large hearted.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Cleaner air
From the environment fair
The need of the hour.

Blank azure sky
Christmas star herein
Winter blessings.

Silver moon shines
Lonely fisherman braves
The raging waves.

How long to wait
To take my luggage
Autumn withers.

Moon eclipsed
Darkness everywhere
Corruption.

For our Tricolour
Nuke Deal a Noah's Ark
From the Stars.

Nature and riches
Each for all and
All for each.

My eternal home
Not in the hills
Not in the woods.

On Mumbai high sea
Terror danced
Ugly duckling.

Adopt Africa
Hunger at peak
The Black Sun.

Thames a name
River sparkles at noon
A nature's boon.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Haiku !

Roses of Heaven
Are children
Pluck not in the bud.

On a lonely hill
Seeing the crimson sky
I wonder still.

A passing dark cloud
Can only pass away
Can winter stay?

A lonely Oak
With lone red leaf stood
A lonely child.

On Heaven's name
They kill on Terror
Bleeding autumn sky.

Flower and colour
Go together in spring
Man and valour

Dark summer clouds
Its quite transparent
Rain is apparent.

We love flowers
Nature loves seasons
Some chameleon.

Some days are sunny
Some are funny
Some are rainy.

Laura and Fauna
Build a better universe
Fill Ozone layer.

Bothbodan Is Bleeding !

India lives in its villages for years,
Villages do have much contribution,
But today they are in apathetic tears,
Prosperity a witness to this nation.

Bothbodan,a Maharashtrian village fair,
Under stress,pain and acute starvation,
Seventeen farmers committed suicide there,
The hamlet drowns now in grim situation.

Farmers wanted only a fair price,
The movement increased the women's woes
But men faced encounters on their uprise,
The unbearable burden fell on the widows.

Widows have to fight for a living,
Bothbodan is still bleeding !

Vellore Institute Of Technology University !

The VIT inaugurates the Technology Tower,
That symbolises the knowledge in IT,
A sky-high monument of learning for ever,
Students do boast their almamater in VIT.

Its wards all over the world go as lords,
Terrible placements they have seen,
Sing a new song as new bards,
VIT gives them a future of pasture green.

That'One Man' never can history forget,
A visionary of legendary dreams
How beautifully he has conceived VIT,
But ever continues to dream,it seems.

A man of Dr.GV's stature will never sleep,
He only does sow and we only do reap.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.

Men, Nature And Creator !

My God so kind to give me eyes,
To see the wealth of the blue skies,
Made me Lord over the green world,
Gave me mineral wealth like gold.

The ocean harbours plenty of water,
In gratitude to her mighty creator,
The rain my God's eternal mercy,
Enriches my nature's beauty.

I find nature thanking my God,
With flowers the plants nod,
The tall trees with fruits look above,
Yearning for the creator's love.

The rivers with water nevr retreat,
But go to wash my Maker's feet,
The silvery waves sing a note,
They my Master try to dote.

The under-world of the blue waters,
With sparkling fish glitters,
They in silent prayers,
Praise my Master's shoulders.

The dark clouds of the blue fields,
Tell how my Creator feels,
His infinite mercy rains,
The greens thank through grains.

The glowing world,Maker's delight,
Moves from darkness to light,
Lulls me to sleep during night,
God's plans are so bright.

The simple bird through wings,
The bell of thanks it rings
Animals of the woods too,
My God,try to woo.

Me,my God's crown of creation,
Created me in His own imagination,
Alas! How do I thank him,
Seldom in solemn hymns.

But I never miss to betray,
Never reflect Him,not even a ray,
Often I fall a prey to sin,
Throw my Maker to the dust-bin.

I take Him to Cross again,
Strike a nail in His palm plain,
The innocent blood wets the chain,
He gave up His ghost for our gain.

Learnt no lesson from nature above,
Failed miserably my God to love,
Yet He forgives this prodigal son
Takes me to His abode of heaven.

I decide hereafter not to sin,
My God sees whatever I do herein,
Let me cease with Him so bright,
With my God Jesus Christ.

Your Face An Indian Rose !

Under the same sun nature so clear,
With a vast blue firmament above,
I meet many new faces here,
A rich spring motivates my love.

Yet I find something I miss,
My thoughts do linger on somewhere,
In dreams sweet I make my bliss,
My heart longs for you be aware.

Agreed to transmit my love's sighs
Here the same amorous Zephyr blows
The pangs of love explore new highs,
I deem your face a better Indian rose.

When I take your lovely hand,
I swear to be in our homeland.

Yesupatham Savarimuthu.
