Autumn Evening !

In Autumn Evening,
An outrageous tempest blows,
Lo! No Leaves To Fall.

Blessed Widow !

In Indian villages widows have to suffer,
Eat discord,disharmony,contempt and sorrows,
Conservative society to the core, hardships ever,
Sun never sets, having not seen their daily woes.

God sent Elijah when river Cherith dried up,
To go to a widow of Zarephatho,for daily bread;
Acute poverty she suffered, her sorrows mounted up,
With her son,she was ready to die for want of food.

The widow had only little flour, and much less oil,
Elijah asked her to make bread for him first,
She obeyed God,happily did without much toil,
Oh!To her surprise flour and oil never did exhaust.

Three years of famine and drought came to an end,
When Elijah prayed for rain, atonce God did send.

Maoists And Alex Paul Menon !

Maoists ranked neo-fascists and egoists,
"Power springs from the barrel of the gun"
An outdated dogma of Leninists and Marxists,
Kidnapped a district collector,a sad fun.

For the release of underground extremists,
Dared to take hostage of Alex Paul Menon-
A noble son of the nation,by hardcore culprits,
Terrorism and destruction, their bible and canon.

They aim to seize power through People's War,
Protracted armed struggle they do undertake,
They dwell in the realm of dreams that lie afar,
Maoism must go,Maoists a new life should take.

O Maoists! go to China to play your hypocrisy,
For we hate Maoism,we love only democracy.

Jesus With Simon The Leper !

When Jesus was in Bethany,a woman
With alabaster box of precious perfume,
She poured it on Jesus head,so done,
Disciples decried as waste, said in gloom
Could have sold for much, they did fume.

Jesus asked them not to trouble her,
You have the poor always,me not for ever,
She anointed me,as on my own burial,
This gospel shall be preached, told for ever,
In the whole world, this be her a memorial.
