Unshakable faith even shakes mountains,
In torments too the faith of the just lives,
In fire it resurrects, more strength it attains,
As withered tree in season, faith also believes.
Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
Neither shall be fruits in the vines,
The fields shall not yield cause no worrisome,
The flock shall be cut off,no herd in the stalls.
Yet in the Lord of salvation I rejoice and greet,
The Lord God is my strength, my heart pleases,
He will make my feet as that of the hinds feet,
And He will make me walk upon mine high places.
Whatever be,on strong footing faith shines,
But when we stagger and waver faith darkens.

Nobel Revolution In Oslo !
Liu Xiao honoured with a Nobel Peace Prize,
A shock wave went through China as Beijing cold,
Comrades from authoritarian sleep never did rise,
The humanist and the democrat, world did applaud.
Liu Xiao stood for human rights and democracy,
Greater political freedom for China he did advocate,
On Christmas Day Liu was jailed without mercy,
Eleven years of jail term,he languishes till date.
His efforts since Nineteen Eighty Nine did perform,
Professor and lead author of the progressive Charter,
A Manifesto that called for democratic reform,
The state called him a criminal,a subversive later.
What a great Nobel Revolution in Oslo !
Fittingly awarded true comrade Liu Xiao.

O! God ! How Long Will You Slumber !
O ! my God! Why and How long will you slumber?
Don't You 've eyes to see and ears to hear?
And how long should I wait for You to answer?
You 've not heard my cries, with alarm I do fear.
Whether your angels put You behind bars and guard,
Do You become deaf and dumb and really do slumber,
Do You 've my name drawn in your palm,O!my God ?
My afflictions grow day by day and out number.
Me, not better than your birds and lilies of the field,
My hairs do often fall,do they've your renowned permit?
Me, not better than your deers,my legs why paralysed?
Tied to bloody bed and bloody wheel chair, condemn it.
My God ! to the heaven of freedom atonce awake,
With thunder and lightning healing kindly make.

A Beginning In The End !
Illiteracy, the real darkness the nation gropes in,
At least light a candle, the darkness goes out,
Wipe out illiteracy or we commit a grievous sin,
To make a billion people literate,we need effort.
In good stead literacy movement in India did click,
Rural folk, elderly illiterates were seriously taught,
Three R's the simple Reading,Writing and Arithmetic,
In groups on the streets, vicious illiteracy was fought.
Young volunteers with a zeal the work they took up,
Gathered mass after sun-set to eradicate darkness,
New volunteers took charge of emerging new group,
Learning process continued, its a blessing witness.
A new tide of educators came only to find,
A new beginning in each and in every end.

Haiku Poems!
Thanksgiving day
People do rejoice over
But Turkey weeps.
Our lady of freedom
Prison walls do not deter her
Burmese Nobel Suu kyi.
Trichy a laughing stock
Untouchability walls
Madness and blunder.
Autumn's fury up
Koreans do exercise
Only to wither.
Trees clothed in white
Not monsters,not dragons but
Only ice and snow.
Nothing can stand
Against people's unity
The Berlin wall.
Sharks in Atlantic
Live in great danger now
Time to harvest.
Spring in action
Red blossoms burst in smile
Pleases the human eye.
Around my house
Red sea of flowers surround
What a beauty!
Snow flakes everywhere
To be or not to be
Winter the question.

Great Wall Of China Still Glitters !
The great wall of China,a monument of global wonder,
A gigantic dragon that winds up and down,
Unification of its geography the wall doth thunder,
Goes across deserts, grassland and mountains its own.
Five Thousand Five Hundred miles from East to West,
Two Thousand years,Three Lakh men did its construction,
A strong fortification in the north never been dreamt,
The greatest landmark and the greatest fascination.
A natural defensive barrier, mightiest work of man,
Protection against intrusion, the Ming Dynasty's boon,
Impossible things made possible, that man alone can,
It's visible to the human eyes, even from the moon.
All domestic narrow walls will perish and wither,
Walls built on great vision will stand and glitter.

Untouchability Walls In Trichy !
Trichy in TamilNadu,South India a national shame,
Here only the Untouchability Walls take pride,
Waging war against Dalits for years, their only game,
Barrier, discrimination and casteism take a ride.
Twenty Five years of untouchability,a monument of crime
At Edamalaipatti a caste-barrier the state demolished,
Twenty years of heart-ache at Uthapuram a bad rhyme-
Another distress to Dalits,a bitter segregation ended.
Whole Trichy stands fragmented by narrow domestic walls,
Here no honour to Gandhi,Ambedkar,Periyar or any heroes,
In graveyards too such walls reign, how many unknown falls?
In the map of India Trichy undesired dot of many sorrows.
The Great Wall Of China exhibits a global wonder,
Alas!Trichy exposes nothing but madness and blunder.

Devil Is A Devil Known Or Unknown!
Known devil is better than the unknown devil,
We know its tricky ways, that are so vicious,
Only can reduce its damage, can't better the evil,
Can't escape its implications,so deep and serious.
Devil is a devil whether known or unknown,
Whose aim is the same to kill the human soul,
Makes the victim the enemy of God and be gone,
All anti-Christ and devil's children,its goal.
The unknown devil whether human or inhuman,
Its an embodiment of wickedness to the core,
A serpent in the Eden touched the father of man,
The devil spat pain and sorrow, joy was no more.
A war loomed against the devil,a warrior came,
The devil, Jesus did defeat and Jesus did tame.

Suu Kyi ! Prison Walls Never Deterred !
Suu Kyi was honoured with a Nobel Peace Laureate,
Who opposed authoritarian rule,faced detention,
A simple Burmese woman of Myanmar,a true democrat,
Fifteen years of jail,a sad tale of the nation.
In traditional jacket with a flower in her hair,
When released people thronged to cheer and to chant,
She a symbol of democracy and unity,a metaphor fair,
The whole of Southeast Asian nation was much jubilant.
For the people of Myanmar, old Suu Kyi did represent,
Freedom,equality,fraternity,the jewels of a nation,
Peoples'cause made even Gandhi and Mandela to revolt,
When freedom won, they earned peoples' admiration.
Suu Kyi came out of the prison, she had emerged stronger,
The high walls of the prison could never, ever deter her.

The Captain Of The Mountain !
The untold story of the saddest dark day,
When sea was aggressive in fathoms and in surface,
A submarine on mission ran into trouble all the way,
Unperturbed captain stood yet with a grimmer face.
Submarine was out of control, recuperation not known,
Captain urged all the crews to escape one by one,
When all escaped,Alas!the captain was all alone,
He tried at last, but sank along with submarine down.
Here is another,The Captain Of The Mountain,
Who died on the cross for the sins of mankind,
Brought the humanity to life,an everlasting fountain,
Oh! How man proved so much wicked and most unkind.
The Captain for His people embraced Mount Calvary,
Alas! Redemption came only after gruesome history.

Obama Makes No Drama !
Your maiden visit to India,Oh! President Obama!
Oh!What a thunder in Mumbai,what fame,what name,
Attracted Indians as Mark Antony did, made no drama,
Your speech silenced Indian enemies, put them to shame.
Our relationship based on the concept of democracy,
Of Abraham Lincoln, India as a nation we ever stood,
Your honour to Mahatma Gandhi,a tribute and a legacy,
You showed good will, transparency and at heart so good.
We have been ever the nations of the same feather,
That we did love democracy and totally did hate terror,
Your visit a marriage of the two great nations for ever,
Noblest Obama highlighted India in to a spotless mirror.
Here after two way dynamism there for ever to support,
So India and America march forward with greater rapport.

Sea Of Love And Sea Of Refuge !
I'm all on a sudden alone on a turbulent sea,
No boat, no oars,no ship yet I just swim,
Where ever I turn vast expanse of water I see,
Not salty but an elixir of life I dream.
It's a Sea of Love there I find a Sea of Peace,
The mad tide widely takes me up and down,
Yet I find a Sea of Strength in the Sea of Grace,
No sea beasts trounce and thereby pound upon.
Shark or whale that do prowl,I do not encounter,
But I see a Sea of Light and Life on my way,
In the Sea of Refuge none can hunt me or slaughter,
In that great Sea of Mercy I am happy and gay.
A Mighty Sea,mightier ever than the mightiest,
In magnitude and magnanimity He is Jesus Christ.

Are You Blessed ?
Plant a seed, you will see it sprouts and yields,
If you dig anywhere for water, spring gushes,
When you plough wilderness, becomes fertile fields,
You will find rain to your land that brings wishes.
You will never be a borrower, but ever be a giver,
Never be alone, you will have children to shoulder,
Poverty never knocks your door, will be healthy ever,
Justification and righteousness will never bewilder.
The works of your hand will bloom as spring with grace,
No locusts will have guts to consume your trees,
Never you be plundered or oppressed, you make a race,
Ever be head, never be tail, will be a tender breeze.
As stars of heaven The Lord multiplies your seed,
You 'll increase, never decrease, its blessing indeed.
If you dig anywhere for water, spring gushes,
When you plough wilderness, becomes fertile fields,

Indian Crows ! Indian Pride !
Birds of the same feather flock together,
Indian crows challenge the birds of the air,
They sing, eat, muse and dance all together,
They too never sow, gather in to barns never.
On finding food remnants they cry out caw caw,
An invitation to fellow-birds to come and eat,
They share, and eat whatever saw cooked or raw,
Oh!Crows of India!you are so splendid and sweet.
Oh!Crows!do not look at rational human beings,
They've enough to fight on color, creed and code,
You continue to love, share and sing your musings,
Till men learn to love and to discard the sword.
Yes!indeed Indian Pride is our Indian Crows,
O!India!End atonce all human agony and owes.

Son Of A Nun !
A frail woman born to serve the poorest,
The orphan, the sick and the neglected bleak,
A nun ever in service, never found rest,
She saw Christ in the face of the ailing sick.
She in regular duty in the hospital one day,
A young boy met with accident admitted there,
In unconscious state like a bundle,so to say,
The sister attended to him with utmost care.
Many months after memory revived, got healed,
To the nunnery the boy went to see the sister,
He insisted to see her, his desire he revealed,
What was he to the sister, asked the superior.
He declared, she was his new found mother,
Who gave him new love and new life together.

Haiku !
When God rebukes,
Tide of the blue seas obeys,
Even Time too waits.
Tell the mountain,
'Throw yourself in to the sea'
Faith will do it.
Confidence makes,
Diffidence sadly kills,
Faith ever wins.
Unparalleled king,
Here in the earth and the sky

The Jewels Of Heaven !
Portuguese village in beauty and innocence,
There the three blessed shepherd children,
Lucia,Francisco,Jacinta rose to prominence,
By tending sheep as their shepherd in heaven.
"Death rather than sin"Dominic Savio declared,
"I am in heaven"he said to his sad father,
Alas!at the age of fourteen he died,
Only to reach the great Heavenly Father.
Caught in the snow-storm the poor Lucy Gray,
Found no way with her staggering small feet,
Never returned home even at break of day,
Poet deplored,"In heaven we all shall meet".
God's blessed and saintly children,
In greater glory,"The Jewels of Heaven".

I Know My Sheep !
I take my sheep to a wild grass land,
Surrounded by mountains and hills,
Where ponds in the midst do stand,
They graze, drink at their own wills.
I know my sheep, they know my voice,
They hear my voice and obey my crook,
They follow me with a quiet noise,
They signal me on finding any risk.
My sheep I tend, guard and feed,
I love my sheep, they love me,
Scatter never, together they lead,
On sunset they return with glee.
I name each sheep in my holy herd,
True Master and The Good Shepherd.

Out Of Tune !
When you are in Caesar's Rome,
Do as Romans do and just dress,
Like the Romans to feel at home,
The only way to gain to impress.
Raindrops of all waters the purest,
When fall upon ocean become salty,
On red soil, they emerge red truest,
When fall on holy rivers become holy.
Mingle with people around you live,
Be kind they become your kinsmen,
And friends in need you believe,
Make sociable in sorrow and fun.
So go with the tide it's a boon,
And you will never be out of tune.

O George Bernard Shaw ! You Are Wrong !
George Bernard Shaw a father of humour,
Criticism and socialism once said,
It was true at his time but not for ever,
His saying so honoured and wide spread.
"Your children and my children,
And our children are playing together",
Today the story is a different burden,
The children as leaves of the trees wither.
Children in homes for vacation to go,
Where to go?to divorced father ?
Or to divorced mother,in sorrow bow,
Nowhere the grand father or grand mother.
Such harmony is no more in this muted nation,
Alas!it sinks in a great deluge of aberration.

Graveyard !
Far from the madding crowd,a desolate place,
With dead silence and grimmer breeze everywhere,
Atlast only equality reigns here but no race,
No king, no slave,no rich, all are equal here.
Liberty,Fraternity and Equality ever a struggle,
All but a strenuous dream but never was found,
Mankind ever suffers from ill begotten guile,
Man exhausted makes his way to the last ground.
To rest in peace,to find peace in death,
No new world,no men,no women but only a crowd,
Ego,palsied brain and heart of stone hold breath,
None listens to the inner voice but talks aloud.
O! life's values 've lost,we 've nothing to guard,
So they seek peace and solace only in a graveyard.

Jordan River Flows For Ever !
A sacred river born at the foot of Mt.Hermon,
Flows in running emotion hundreds of mile,
Blessed tributaries merge,unperturbed goes on,
A Garden of God,there buoyant greens ever smile.
Thr'the Sea of Galilee ends in saline Dead Sea,
Joshua crossed Jordan to find promised freedom,
A scene of several miracles Jordan River did see,
Elijah in Jordan healed Naaman in God's wisdom.
"Lamb of God" on Jesus, proclaimed John the Baptist,
For the "Son of God" a record witness he did give,
While in Jordan, when he did baptize Jesus Christ,
Centuries have gone in to oblivion,O Jordan doth live.
Jordan of Southwest Asia, doth possess a grand name,
With Jesus'baptism O! Jordan you still tower in fame.

Blessed Mountains !
Be an eternal lamp on the high mountain,
Its glow reaches all eyes all around,
When you lookup, grace flows as fountain,
Blessed mountains stand with pomp and sound.
Many a mountain I climbed in my teen,
My joy flew high yet knew no bound,
In my heart unknown sorrow lingers so keen.
Oh!so many mountains I missed,I found.
Mount Sinai gave Moses The Ten Commandment,
Abraham's faith the Mount of Moriah witnessed,
Jesus'agony in the Mount of Olives never dreamt,
In the Mount of Tabor, there Jesus transfigured.
Alas!Jesus was crucified in the Mount of Calvary,
Alas!what a sad memory and what a sad history.

"Ask, And You Will Receive"
Give me Thou a sound brain,
And Thy mercy drops as rain,
Give me Thou a strong heart,
From ideals never to depart,
Live not I but within me Thou,
In my little heart I can vow.
From evils guard my eyes,
To see Thou descend from skies,
Give strength to my weaker leg,
So that I walk that's what I beg,
With folded hands when I worship,
My knees speak of thy kingship,
Thou art my life, vision and speech,
With thy strength alone I can march.
I am what I am !
In old Adam's time,
Me a curse on Thy lip,
Me a wrecked ship,
I am what I am,
Oh!I had no time,
To think of Thee,
An abject sinner,for me,
Thou gave Thy life on the cross,
What shall not Thou give?Alas!

Preface
We are extremely happy to introduce our father the Poet Mr.S.Yesupatham to the vast
literary world. We have gone through each and everyone of his poems,we are simply
amazed and impressed,he has a profound love for modern poetry, sonnets, long verses and haiku poems.
His love for poetry is quite deep and unfathomable,he has named us his two sons after the poets name as Tennyson and Emerson,we admire the poem on "Dr.Kalaignar An Incarnation Of Shakespeare!" Dreamer Lost,Dreamer Found " "Gethsemane To Golgotha" "To William Shakespeare" "The Lord Is With You Preston Jude" "Double Blessing" "Walk The Talk"
"Go Away 2009" Your Name I Gave My Elder Son,"Lonely Child Never Lonely"etc.
Mainly he worked on traditional sonnets of Elezabethan Age keeping Shakespeare as model for rhyming scheme. His poem "Dreamer Lost Dreamer Found " sounds like Milton's Paradise Lost and Paradise Regained.
His Haiku poems follow Japanese Pattern. All the three hundred haikus are very interesting, such as:
Go with the tide
No guts to swim against,
Cowards only afraid.
Tears
In the eyes of the fish,
Not crocodile tears.
As the Poet Robert Frost says,
The woods are lovely,
Dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
As William Wordsworth says, there is happiness in emotions recollected in tranquility.poems of our father infuses the love of nature, optimism, positive thinking etc. A Tamil Poet says,"All are our country and all are our kinsmen" we are sure the poet gains recognition, support and encouragement.

Fore Word
In those sands of Times,
Like a ship on the tide,
My pensive emotion swayed,
Yet I found certain rhymes.
The thoughts of the bards,
Ever rang in my ears,
They my heart did pierce,
Yet I made certain words.
So I shed my joyous tears,
Over my own brain-child,
For whom I have toiled,
For all these long years.
Yet I made verses of flowers,
They speak in true colours.

Dr.Kalaignar An Incarnation Of Shakespeare !
William Shakespeare,no one can ever forget,
Oh! his intellectual pursuits roar as waves,
A face of many facets, dramatist, actor and poet,
His oration still thunders, his plays still echoes.
Dr.Karunanidhi the other side of the same coin,
Whose ability and versatility speak volumes,
His fervour of Tamil to his feet laurels brought in,
An halo effect of Tamil around him large looms.
We have seen Nobel laureate Tagore in 'Paper-Boat'
We do see Dr.M.K in 'Kakithapoo'-paper flower,
His work all praises to Tamil speak about,
'Kuraloviam'immortalised 'Thirukkural'for ever.
Actor in Kakithapoo, of several plays a dramatist,
In him Dr.Anna and great E.V.R still they live,
New thoughts his poems reveal,a revolutionary poet,
He is an incarnation of great Shakespeare I believe.
No chaste Tamil can be without strict grammar,
His 'Tholkapia Poonga'a book of colourful flowers,
Nourished and grown by this great gardener,
His fame grew to sky-high,still he towers.
A journalist,essayist, novelist and writer,
In 'Murasoli' he writes to his party men,
There too his mother-tongue shines brighter,
Fights all canker by the sword of sarcastic pun.
He is called by all,by pet name'Dr.Kalaignar',
This feat he could achieve, because of Tamil,
He gave the title to Dr.Anna'Perarignar'
But Anna gave him his mantle with strong will.
A visionary of Poombukar and silapathikaram,
Chastity of Tamil women highly honoured,
Guilty king drowned in death in his harem,
A statue of Kannagi at Marina he installed.
The sun knows no rest,he in his name,
More than hundred books he did write,
Number of stage and screen plays of fame,
On scientific thinking shed a greater light.
His oration in Tamil has electrifying effect,
In all elections he did contest,he did win,
In him I see Mark Antony's style and tact,
He never failed to take the Tamil with him.
He made Tamil shine in art and architecture,
'Valluvar Kottam'an historic memorial to Thiruvalluvar,
Will be known to all generations present and future,
Not built in cement and bricks but in emotions for ever.
Thirukural the classic of Tamil literature,
Consists of One Hundred and Thirty Three sections,
Of ten couplets each for entire world culture,
Tamils use atleast one couplet in domestic function.
Kalaignar held Thiruvalluvar in high esteem,
He designed One Hundred Thirty Three feet high statue,
Installed at Kanyakumari amid waves does gleam,
Immortalised the scholar with a great picturesque.
Propagating Tamil he alone took the lead,
He would be present there where echoes Tamil,
Third World Tamil Conference in Paris people envied,
Hearing his Tamil oration, people did marvel.
In Kuala Lumpur at the Sixth World Tamil Conference,
He made his versatile inaugural address,
The whole Malaysia hearing stunned to silence,
Oh!What he is to Tamil, everyone was speechless.
He himself penned an official theme song,
For the Coimbatore Ninth World Tamil Conference,
Integrating all generations in that new song,
Titled "Semmozhiyaana Tamizh Mozhiyam"hence.
His literary works fetched him historic fame,
Tamil University graced him with "Rajarajan Award"
His "Thenpandi Singam" obtained a great name,
His eminence shot up to fly skyward.
Annamalai University honoured him with a doctorate,
In recognition of his literay services to Tamil,
He loved Tamilians and Tamilians he would never hate,
He elevated Sangam literature as a lamp on the hill.
As a script writer for screen plays,he would,
Criticize prevalent social ills that kill equality,
And take the Tamil society to the wood,
He would agitate for Tamil's peace and tranquility.
Each Tamilian is well versed with the dialogue,
Of Parasakthi,Manohara,Naam and Poombukar,
Such plays extend people mimic in monologue,
He alone enriched Tamil and set to sail any far.
His Tamil skill and humanism made him great,
"All our country, and all our kinsmen",
In "One caste"and in "One God"his heart doth beat,
Friend of the poor, the down-trodden.
Tamil developed, protected and patronised,
Secured special status of "Semmozhi"for Tamil,
He makes promises,keeps,done what promised,
He pays the poor, their medical bill.
Man of destiny who rules for decades,
Most powerful,most confident,and most loved,
Five terms as Chief Minister, record he breaks,
Temple entry,other inequalities he knocked.
Truest friend and noblest foe,
His Tamil draws the opponents to his camp,
He heralds from Thirukuvalai a small glow,
Today a known perennial light of the great lamp.
Even at Eighty Seven he works without rest,
New wave of thoughts still haunt him,
Potentially a dreamer, may pen his best,
Whatever tide he will overcome to swim.
His Tamil endeared me for many years,
A coincident double blessing with cheers,
"Dr.Kalaignar is born on Third June 1924",
"My son Tennyson is born on Third June 1974".
Footnote:
Dr.Kalaignar M.Karunanidhi Chief Minister of Tamilnadu,a dramatist, play writer, and an actor, his screen plays are comparable with that of the plays of Shakespeare,he secured a special status for Tamil language, his literary works are great in Sangam Literature.

Mother In Laws ! Once Daughter In Laws !
A nation which abides by family norms,
Must have mother-in-law and daughter-in-law,
Family breeds relations in many forms,
Only to endear and never to seduce law.
Age-old infighting heard in between,
Never been able to strike compromise,
For peace,only animosity ever seen,
Differences go on,each other they curse.
Mother-in-law is also a daughter-in -law,
But she wants to torture and enslave,
Her son's wife her own daughter-in-law,
Many meet disasters by not being brave.
Believe,Naomi is The Best Mother-in-law,
I swear, Ruth is her Best Daughter-in-law.

Indian Grooms Wink On Gold !
We say one thing and do another,
Expect women their rights to surrender,
Here man should regard women,
As those good angels in heaven.
To deities we give woman's name,
But our women we do defame,
Indian grooms wink eye on gold,
Alas! women are sadly sold.
Many sang in woman's liberation,
Dreamed,poets of our own nation,
Owe to a father of many daughters,
Oh ! their matrimony still bothers.
Progressive measures brought in,
And we made glorious changes to win,
Yet color and creed root to fame,
Sometimes takes unruly name.
Nehrus have fought dowry system,
But grooms still want wisdom,
So many young women die,
Without ransom,with a great sigh!
Equal right is their birth right,
A nation proves weak without might,
Unless rights does it shower,
And takes women to the rightful bower.

Double Blessing !
Oh! Life is nothing but a shadow,
Great or small is rounded with a sleep,
A constant struggle, often ends in sorrow,
The great bard's lamentaion was so deep.
Prince Hamlet asked,"To be,or not to be",
Disgusted in life succumbed to pressure,
Even in rich atmosphere,he was not free,
A life so condemned, ended in failure.
Life that Lord gives and Lord takes,
Whatever misfortune or whatever blessing,
For men of faith, faith never shakes,
Their patience ultimately rewards bring.
They fight a good fight, run a good race,
Achieve double blessing by Lord's grace.

To William Shakespeare !
The Sweet Swan of Stratford-upon-Avon,
You belong not to an age but for all time,
Your achievement hath immeasurable reason,
Verses of emotions have thought and rhyme.
Your sonnets reflect the Elizabethan Age,
True to English, love and true to the salt,
'Love is not love when alters'said the sage,
England owes to you,so English owes a debt.
Intellectual pursuits scaled such an high,
Indeed there are many things in your name,
The constant Nothern Star in the vast sky,
Your name shot in to unconquerable fame.
I dedicate my poems to this mighty ocean,
May be a drop in that sea of great emotion.

I Will Never Fall Again !
I adore the everlasting Light,
On my withered path no stones,
No fear of darkness of the night,
That may falter and break my bones,
My sun will never set again,
And my moon wanes no more,
The Light bestows me plenty of rain,
My sorrows end,I hear a joyous lore,
That ever restores my energy,
In all my walks, doth guide and care,
Hereafter only happiness no more elegy,
In that I guard my footsteps I swear,
Of course I will never fall again,
What all I've lost,I stand to regain.

The Lord Is With You Preston Jude !
The Lord is with you truly,
You will prosper Preston Jude,
May be darkness, may be a dark valley,
May be a wild,may be a wood,
May be a lion,may be a serpent,
You will trample, and stand tall,
You will ever shine, never lament,
You will never fall, never you fall,
Never lonely thou, thou never lonely
The Lord loves you,the Lord saves you,
Father,Son and Holy Ghost in one army,
All in One bless you, surely bless you,
May be a pestilence, may be a disaster,
You will ever shine like an alabaster.

In Between Smiles !
In between smiles there is a mile,
Smile there can be,a fruit of one's toil,
Walk at least a mile to land on smile,
No free lunch found anywhere in the soil.
Little butterfly flies from flower to flower,
For envied nectar, its feather almost whither,
The birds of the air,so clothed so fair,
From region to region for feed they fly after.
Span of life so short,so live with a smile,
Smile can alone make your life longer,
True happiness reveals your inner smile,
Be not worried, you 'll ever be stronger.
Come what may, work to achieve smiles,
It's fragrance goes even beyond miles.

The Chinese love is truly eternal grace,
It lives beyond four thousand years,
It's but an exhilarating eternal embrace,
A Chinese love story of truth and tears.
In China there stands an ancient grave,
In the great plains of Sanxing village,
The love of man and woman so rare and brave,
Much dilapidated,yet stands with courage,
In the lonely grave a couple was found laying,
The bones of the oldest couple were visible,
Amazingly together,were each other hugging,
The archaeological statement is so terrible.
O!Chinese women!in true love you stand tall,
Even greater than the greatest Chinese Wall.

Pontius Pilate In Hell !
I had an imaginative vision of the Inferno,
No angels escorted me,but I was in the hell,
How sinners God punished I wanted to know,
Unquenched fires of the hell began to swell.
Nine circles of fire, three types of sinners,
The indulgent, the violent and the malicious,
All these while in life were cunningly winners,
Broke justice, negligent in duty and vicious,
Washing hands with water cleansed him never.
Innocent Lamb they took to the slaughter,
Indulged in conspiracy and abuse of power,
They masterminded the ignominious murder.
In Central Hell I saw Pontius Pilate and Caiaphas,
Along with Judas Iscariot,Herod Antipas and Annas.

An Elegy On A Master Friend !
Oh!The Lord gave and He hath taken away,
My master, an untold era and a legend,
Ever he lives in our hearts, let us pray,
Eighty years of marathon came to an end.
For four decades a Teacher and HeadMaster,
Honoured State Awardee and Best Teacher,
He did win laurels,an architect, a builder,
A true visionary and a true Dreamer.
Service his motto for which he did live,
Many have drunk in this eternal brook,
A good sheep of the Good Shepherd believe,
He knows the folk from any corner and nook,
A preacher,an actor and an orator,
Let us Sing, Weep and let us Honour.

Gethsemane To Golgotha ! ( Poem )
The saddest journey from the mount of Olives,
Gethsemane to Golgotha in our history lives,
Jesus transformed love in to great passion,
Death on the cross detestable, yet chose crucifixion.
The prophet of the Old Testament portrayed,
The saga of the man who came to love mankind,
But man returned to him death,a wicked mind,
Of what sterner stuff man was made,Lo betrayed.
Oh ! what a prophesy Issaiah made years before,
Of one who had borne our griefs and sorrows,
Our transgressions and iniquities brought untold woes
His very wounds only healed us,we do doubly adore.
He was oppressed and he was afflicted,
Yet he opened not his mouth, though bruised,
He was taken as a lamb to the slaughter,
Deceit was never in his mouth, honesty ruled ever.
Cruel dogs surrounded, evil men encircled,
His hands and feet, they mercilessly pierced,
Darkness began to engulf, they divided his garment,
Also cast lots for his blood stained raiment.
Jesus saw the forth coming sorrow,no other way,
The festival of the passover just two days away,
The son of man shall be delivered and crucified,
With soul so heavy, mind restless he only sighed.
The Sanhedrin under the chief priest Caiaphas,
Decided together to wait for the passover to pass,
And then put him to death, likewise they thought,
If done before it seemed people might revolt.
Jesus was in Bethania with Simon the leper,
A woman with spikenard in a box of alabaster,
Came, poured it on Jesus' head without any stir,
Jesus said to his disciples not to trouble her.
You have the poor always with you,but not me,
As done on burial she did upon me,remember her,
Wheresoever this gospel is preached, she shall ever be,
This shall be told in memory of her for ever.
A great multitude of people came to see Lazarus,
Who was raised from the dead miraculously by Jesus,
They took branches of palm trees and cried,
' Hosanna ' that comes in the God's name is blessed.
Jesus found an young ass and sat on it,
Fear not daughters of Zion,King comes on colt,
Jesus was glorified and in him Father,
Pharisees saw the whole world to go after.
One of Twelve Judas Iscariot met the chief priest,
He worked out a deal to deliver Jesus Christ,
He consented for pieces of silver dirty thirty,
To betray the Master, he waited for an opportunity.
Disciples asked Jesus where he would eat the pasch,
Go to certain man in the city and ask
That the Master liked to eat pasch with him there,
The pasch as was fixed, the disciples did prepare.
In the evening he sat down with his disciples,
While they were eating he said to the apostles,
That one of you is about to betray me,
The disciples were troubled and did disagree.
'Is it I Lord?' oh,no they all did wish,
He that dips his hand and with me in the dish,
He shall betray me, but woe to that man,
Better for him,if that man had not been born.
'Is it I Rabbi' Judas in low voice asked,
' You have said ' Jesus in the positive replied,
The villain of peace stood unperturbed,
The force of darkness the Satan perplexed.
They were at supper, the last supper indeed,
But it was the First mass by Jesus so decreed,
Jesus took bread blessed and broke it,
And gave it to his disciples to eat that.
' Take and eat, this is my body ' Jesus said,
He took the chalice, gave thanks by endorsement,
' Drink all of this for this is my blood'
'For this is my blood of the New Testament.'
Do this in remembrance of me,for ever,
A new covenant of his blood and body,be sure
And wine and the bread in force,
Readied to wash feet with farewell discourse.
To wash the feet of his disciples he did start,
'Never to wash my feet' loved Simon Peter said,
Jesus replied,'If I wash you not,you 've no part'
Peter then asked to wash his feet, hands and head.
I set an example as Lord and Master,
'You also to wash one another's feet, none is taller,
The servant is not greater than his master,
Neither apostles,'You are clean but not all'other.
The blood shall be shed for remission of sins,
Do this in commemoration of me,herein,
He commanded to consecrate the sacrament,
The sacrament and the blood of the New Testament.
They went out to the mount Olives in dim light,
You shall be scandalized in me this night,
It is so written, I will strike the shepherd,
And the sheep of the flock shall be dispersed.
Peter said he shall never scandalize,
Before cock crows twice, he would deny thrice,
Though I should die with you I will never deny,
In like manner all his apostles said to die.
With his disciples Jesus marched to Gethsemane,
' I go yonder and pray ' the soul is in agony,
Watch with me, you stay here in this place,
Going at a stone throw,he fell upon his face.
Sadness and anguish, he felt overwhelming,
His sweat like drops of blood fell on the ground,
An angel of God comforted him, strength he found,
During his untold agony as he was praying.
'Abba' if it is possible let this chalice go,
Nevertheless, not as I will but as you will,Lo
He comes to the disciples, finds them asleep,
Could you not watch one hour without sleep.
Watch and pray that you enter not in to temptation,
The spirit wills but not the flesh what an aberration,
Again prayed,Father if this chalice not to pass away,
But I must drink it,'your will be done ' any way.
He comes again and sees them sleeping,
Self same words he prayed third time yet weeping,
He told the disciples, the hour is at hand,
Son of man to be handed over to sinners of the land.
Let us rise and go and as he yet spoke,
Judas with multitude of soldiers came to invoke,
Jesus, with swords and clubs sent by chief priest,
He gave sign to them how to distinguish Jesus Christ.
Whomsoever I shall kiss that is he,hold him up,
Judas came near' Hail Rabbi ' and kissed him,
Friend whereto are you come? then they came up,
Laid hands on Jesus and fast held him.
The Satan entered in to Judas, amiss,
'Judas do you betray the son of man with a kiss ? '
Kiss a sign of love subverted in to betrayal,
He deserved the central part of the fire the hell.
Peter cut off the right ear of the servant of priest,
All those who take sword perish with it said Christ,
Twenty legions of angels I could 've asked my Father,
Then how to fulfill the esteemed scripture ?
Priests and Pharisees came with lanterns,
Torches and weapons before it darkens,
' Whom do you seek?'Jesus asked and did see,
' Jesus of Nazareth ' Jesus replied 'That I am He '
You came out as it were to a robber, see
With swords and clubs to apprehend me,
The scripture of the prophets might be fulfilled.
Disciples all leaving Jesus alone they fled
The drama of Gethsemane came to simmers,
As Jesus experienced agony and blood sweat,
And prepared for his death and his arrest,
By the great multitude of Roman soldiers.
They held Jesus, led him to caiaphas the high priest,
In the court amid scribes and ancients stood Christ,
One false witness said that he would destroy the temple,
Of God and rebuild it within three days,Is it so simple?
The Sanhedrin the jewish court was corrupt,
Long before, the Sanhedrin took decision abrupt,
Trial at night in the house of Caiaphas the high priest,
Conspired to condemn and execute Jesus Christ.
Sanhedrin at once pronounced death sentence,
Wanted to implicate in false witness hence,
No such witness on evidence agreeing,
Some bore audacious false witness incriminating.
Law of land disrespected, temple law dishonoured,
Order to crucify Jesus, unfounded and unjustified,
Paschal lamb was taken to slaughter and bloodshed,
Oh! owe to Pontius Pilate,Caiaphas, Annas and Herod.
Do you answer nothing to the witness against,
Jesus held his peace said nothing for and against,
Caiaphas queried,'He be Christ the son of God?'
' You have said it' and he did simply nod.
Sitting on the right hand of the power of God,
Jesus continued, in the clouds of heaven trod,
The high priest said that he had blasphemed,
No more witness required, the priest declared.
You have heard the blasphemy, that is the case,
Now he is guilty of death, some spit on his face,
Some struck his face with their palms of hand,
Mocking needless to say was the order of the land.
Servant maid said to Peter, he was with Christ,
Jesus the Galilean, but before all Peter burst,
' I do not know what you say ' said in abated breath,
Another maid said,he was with Jesus of Nazareth.
With an oath 'I know not the man' Peter denied,
After a little while people came to Peter and said,
You are one of them, your speech makes it clear,
He knew not the man Peter did curse and swear.
At this woeful hour the biblical cock crew,
'Before the cock crows twice, you will deny thrice'
The words of Jesus he did remember at once,
He went,wept bitterly,words came true.
The chief priest and ancients decided against Jesus,
Death to Jesus means injustice upon each of us,
They bound and brought him to Pontius Pilate,
The Governor, for required orders to alienate.
Then Judas came to the high priest, said,
Cast down the thirty silver that boomeranged,
'I have sinned in betraying innocent blood '
He departed once for all and desperately hanged.
With the blood money of thirty silvers,
They bought a burial place, the potters field,
Aceldama, the field of blood for strangers,
The price of the children of Israel as prophet told.
Jesus stood for trial before the Governor,
'Are you the king of jews?' the Governor asked,
'You say it ' Jesus said with out fear or favour,
Jesus kept mum for the testimonies alleged.
On the solemn day he could release a prisoner,
'Whom will you that I release to you?' asked Governor,
'Jesus that is called Christ or Barabbas?'
The chief priests spoke in favour of Barabbas.
Barabbas involved in sedition of terror,
Who in sedition committed murder,
Crimes and criminals tolerated Caiaphas,
Envied priests moved the people for Barabbas.
Do nothing with the just man, have no rage,
For I have suffered many things in a dream,
To Pilate his wife sent this message,
In her sense, ever just Jesus did seem.
Persuasion prevailed for release of Barabbas,
'What shall I do then with Jesus?'
Pilate asked,'Let him be crucified' shouted,
'Why what evil has he done?' uproar increased.
Against Jesus an artificial tumult was created,
Pilate washed his hands with water and began,
I am innocent of the blood of this just man,
'Look you to it' Pontius Pilate decried.
'His blood be upon us and upon our children,
The people cry in this vein ever did run,
Pilate released Barabbas,Jesus was scourged,
And delivered Jesus to them to be crucified.
Soldiers took him to the praetorium to mock,
Stripped him and put a scarlet cloak,
A crown of thorn they plaited upon his head,
A reed to his right hand given to lead.
' Hail King of Jews 'they mocked,
They spat upon and struck his thorny head,
They took of the cloak, flogged without any shy,
Put on him his garments, led him to crucify.
A multitude of people, there followed,
And women bewailed and lamented,
Jesus to the daughters of Jerusalem said,
Weep not, weep for yourself and children instead.
The express image of Jesus so marred,
Face with sweat and blood'Veronica'wiped,
Kindness rewarded with his image on her veil,
Instant miracle Jesus did with in a little while.
Simon of Cyrene was forced to take up the cross,
They came to the place of Golgotha an albatross,
The place where Jesus was to be crucified,
It was in the third hour all that accomplished.
Then they divided his garments casting lots,
What the prophet spoke, was fulfilled,
My garments among them they divided,
And upon my vesture they cast lots to allot.
The inscription written, put over his head,
' This is Jesus the King of the Jews' it said,
Along with Jesus two other thieves crucified,
One on right and one on left, scripture fulfilled.
'Father forgive them, they know not,
What they do'Jesus said on the calvary,
That he underwent unequalled agony,
In the midst of theives, justified not .
They that passed by blasphemed,
'You who destroy the temple of God
And in three days rebuild it, he claimed,
Save your own self if you be the son of God'.
The chief priest and others mocked,so did behave,
He saved others, himself he could not save,
If he be king of Israel let him come down,
He trusted in God, let Him deliver and not drown.
Jesus looked at his mother and said,
'Woman behold your son'and said,
To the disciple,'behold your mother'
The disciple took her to his own thereafter.
With the wicked he was as per scripture,
The good thief prayed to him for a place,
' this day you shall be with me in paradise'
Jesus gave him salvation, delight and rapture.
On the sixth hour darkness spread with no noise,
In the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice,
'Eli,Eli lama Sabacthani' went high in echo,
'My God,My God why 've you forsaken me'so
' I am thirst ' Jesus to fulfill the scripture,
A sponge full of vinegar was put into his mouth,
He took the vinegar, as per the scripture,
Darkness surrounded in the hour sixth.
'This man calls Elias' some so did think,
Jesus said when vinegar was given to drink,
' Father into your hands I commend my spirit'
' All accomplished' said and gave up the ghost.
The temple veil rent in to two an historic event,
Earth quaked and the rocks were rent,
Graves opened up saintly bodies came out.not a fiction,
These things happened after Jesus' resurrection.
He came in to holy city and to many appeared,
Centurion and others watching Jesus were shocked,
Having seen the earthquake and other things,
The man was son of God indeed without strings.
There were many women, followed Jesus from Galilee,
Magdalen, other Mary another woman stood with out glee,
Joseph of Arimathea,Jesus' disciple met Pontius Pilate,
Claimed Jesus' body and accordingly got at late.
Nicodemus brought myrrh and aloes,
Took the body of Jesus bound in vesture,
Spiced the body as of custom, with spirit of woes,
All done was forecast by prophets in the scripture.
Joseph took the body, wrapped in new linen,
Laid it in his own new monument benign,
Hewed out in a rock, great stone rolled as a door,
Magdalen and Mary guarded the tomb with care more.
Chief priests and pharisees,Pilate they did sway,
Seducer said to rise again on the third day,
Sepulchre should be guarded till that day,
Or his disciples would come and steal him away.
And tell the people that he risen from the dead,
This error might be worse than the first known,
Pilate commanded, the sepulchre to be guarded,
While on departure they set the guard on sealing stone.
Mary Magdalen and Mary came to see the sepulchre,
Two angels descended from heaven,an earthquake was there,
Rolled back the tomb's stone and sat,a rare show,
Angel's face was as lightning and raiment as snow.
The angel asked the women not to fear, be with glee,
I know you are seeking Jesus who was crucified,
He is not here for he is risen,so glorified,
Behold he will go before you in to Galilee.
They went out quickly with joy to greet,
Jesus met them, they took hold of his feet,
And adored him, tell my brethren that we
Go to Galilee, there they shall see me.
Two men proceeding to Emmaus did say,
From Jerusalem sixty four furlongs away,
They talked about events after crucifixion,
Jesus appeared to them,after resurrection.
Some of the guards met the chief priest,
Told them what all had happened,
The soldiers with great sum were bribed.
To suppress the truth and blame increased.
The disciples came by night and stole the body,
When they were asleep, told a tale so shoddy,
The news spread abroad and among the jews,
The eleven went to Galilee unheard of the news
In the midst of eleven Jesus stood,
'Peace be to you,It is I fear not,Jesus said,
They were frightened and troubled on,
See my hands, feet, a spirit has no flesh and bone.
The disciples believed not, wondered to greet,
Jesus asked them for anything to eat,
They gave him broiled fish and honey,
They ate the remains with joy, no agony.
It is written in the scripture so it behoved,
Christ to suffer and rise again from the dead,
Penance and remission of sins be preached,
In his name un to all nations they be reached.
In heaven and earth all powers in me lie,
Therefore teach all nations and baptize,
In the name of Father,Son,and the Holy Ghost,
So that they may regain what they have lost.
To the entire world preach the gospel,be your aim,
He that believes is baptized and saved,
He that believes not, is condemned,
Believers will castout devils in my name.
With new tongues,they shall speak,
They shall take up serpents and spike,
Deadly things if drunk, make not dead but quick.
They shall lay their hands upon the sick.
As father has sent me I also send you, believe
He breathed on them'The Holy Ghost you receive'
Whose sins you shall forgive they are forgiven,
Sins you retain will be retained, never away driven.
At that time Thomas was not present,
Having seen disciples,Jesus they did represent,
I shall see in his hands the print of nail,
And put my finger in to it I will not believe.
Jesus said to Thomas after seeing you 've believed.
Blessed are they that have not seen yet believed,
If you believe that Jesus is the son of God,
In his name you may have life,do adore and nod
Lord Jesus was taken up in to heaven after,
He sits on the right hand of God with power,
But going forth everywhere they preached,
Lord's working with them confirmed.
Jesus told them, all things he taught to observe,
' I am with you all days ' believe
'Even to the consummation of the world '
When our Lord is with us,let us be ever bold.
Jesus lifted up his hands and blessed,
Then from them he departed,
And was carried up to heaven above,
People returned to Jerusalem with joy and love.
But for the humiliation of Good Friday,
We have the glorification of Easter Sunday,
Gethsemane to Golgotha, a love story of passion,
The hero has on mankind, the deepest compassion.
Remission of sins resulted in redemption,
We have paid a great price called crucifixion,
Let us eschew the path of sin, be firm on abrogation,
Let us all resurrect on this day of Resurrection.

Wings Of Blessings !
How I wish to have wings,
If an angel I would have had,
I am neither a cuckoo that sings,
Nor a butterfly that's so mad,
After the flowers of the garden
How they wish to touch the skies,
With joy flies from Eden to Eden
With colourful wings scales highs
Wish to be a peacock of coat of colors,
Never to be notorious like ugly Turkey,
Gentle ever with gait and valours,
Nor to be a stinging or hurting bee,
Or Pelican or Vulture of whatever mix,
I want to be ever resurrecting Phoenix.

Dreamer Lost ! Dreamer Found ! Part Two
Oh ! Canaan, not that Joseph was lost but you,
The best son of God you have failed to woo,
Ishmaelites forcibly took Joseph to Egypt afar,
Sold him to Pharaoh's official called Potiphar.
The Lord was with Joseph,so he prospered,
He did find success in everything he worked,
He found favour in the eyes of the guard Potiphar,
Whether the favour of his master lasted for ever?
Joseph lived in the house of Egyptian master,
The master progressed, wanted to do some favour,
Joseph was appointed his personal attendant,
All blessings due to Joseph Potiphar was confident.
Joseph took charge of Potiphar's field and household,
Master was free, only concerned with the food he ate,
Joseph was handsome,well-built and also bold,
Master's wife took notice of,began to contemplate.
"Come to bed with me" one day she asked,
Alarmed Joseph refused to do sin against God,
Betraying a generous master, a sin so wicked,
Joseph a man of character, unparalleled bard.
Often destiny plays down,on Joseph puts yoke,
To perform duty at master's house,he went about
None there, Potiphar's wife caught him by his cloak,
Lured him, leaving the cloak but Joseph ran out.
Frustrated and disappointed woman did shout,
To her household servants she said,he came to err,
The Hebrew slave wanted to make sport with her,
When she screamed, leaving his cloak he ran out.
Potiphar the eunuch believed the false accusation,
Immediately he put Joseph in to the king's prison,
By grace of God Joseph was in favour of the warden,
Warden put him in charge of the affairs of the prison.
Under confinement were the Cupbearer and Baker,
Who offended the king of Egypt the Pharaoh,
These two were assigned to Joseph's personal care,
That day the two were remarkably sad and low.
Both had a dream and none there to interpret,
Interpretations only God's,Joseph tried to get,
His faith in God in pit or in palace the same,
Asked for the dreams that made him in to fame.
"I saw in my dream a vine with branches three,
Whose clusters were ripened in to grapes in a hurry,
Squeezed the grapes in to Pharaoh's cup in my hand,
I gave back the cup to Pharaoh the king of the land".
'Three branches represent three days' Joseph said,
With in three days Pharaoh would lift up his head,
His position as Chief Cup bearer he would restore,
He would put Pharaoh's cup in his hand as before.
When things go right Joseph asked for affection,
For no guilt of his,Joseph suffered prison,
Pharaoh could release him from the dungeon,
He was innocent like unblemished pigeon.
' I too had a dream' the Chief Baker said,
That he had three baskets on his head,
The top for Pharaoh, contained goods baked,
But birds were eating them that was on the head.
'The baskets denoted three days,' Joseph said,
'With in three days Pharaoh would lift off his head,
And hang him on a tree where birds would visit,
And eat away his flesh' till the end of it.
The third day was Pharaoh's birthday celebration,
He gave feast to all officials on the day of his birth,
He restored the Chief Cup bearer to his position,
But the Baker as Joseph said was hanged to death.
Two full years had passed,Pharaoh was troubled,
He had two dreams, there none to interpret,
The king sent for wise men and magicians in Egypt,
They heard the dreams, blinked never interpreted.
The Chief Cup bearer reminded Pharaoh the king,
One Joseph in the prison could interpret anything,
As he did divine to the Cup bearer and the Baker,
One was restored, the other was hanged for ever.
The king summoned Joseph from the dungeon,
Neatly dressed Joseph appeared before the king,
The king for his two dreams needed interpretation,
God would answer his desires,Joseph was willing.
Egyptian King Pharaoh had two dreams,
Seven fat cows came up from the Nile River,
And munched on the reeds by the stream's,
The king disturbed in sleep did shiver.
Again he saw seven different thin cows,
Ugly and hungry, emerged from the river,
The thin cows ate all the fat cows alas!
The king stood turbulent and did bewilder.
In another dream saw heads of grains,
Healthy and full in the very same stem,
Further saw seven thin head of grains again,
All the seven healthy ones, thin did consume.
The two dreams conveyed one message fine,
Seven years of plenty, seven years of famine,
To happen, let the king be cautious for whatever,
Dreams came true as told by Joseph the dreamer.
Joseph wanted a wise man be put in charge
Of the land of Egypt for the seven years of plenty,
' Store a fifth of harvest of Egypt at large,
For seven years of famine by the king's authority'.
The king could find in Joseph the spirit of God,
God made known to him,he would be the right man,
If he be made in charge,he would work hard,
For Pharaoh and the people of Egypt as per plan.
" I put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt",
He put his signet ring on Joseph's finger,
A gold chain around his neck thus made him a ruler,
Looked majestic with finer linen and kingly chariot.
Joseph was made Second-in-Command to king next,
Without Joseph's words nothing could be done in Egypt,
Zaphenath Paneah was Joseph's new name,
Married to Asenath Potiphera with pomp and fame.
During seven years of abundance land produced plenty,
Joseph collected all the food, stored in the cities,
Grains were so much as the sands of the seas,
Two sons were born to Joseph when in prosperity.
First born Manasseh made Joseph forget his trouble,
Second born Ephraim made him doubly fruitful,
Famine began people cried to pharaoh for food,
Pharaoh guided them, at Joseph's door people stood.
Famine was so severe in the Egyptian world,
Joseph opened the store houses and sold grain,
All the countries came to Egypt to buy grain,
Famine was acute and severe far and wide.
Canaan not an exception too, to live or to die,
Sorrowed Jacob asked his sons to go to Egypt,
" Buy some grain, that we may live and not die",
Excepting Benjamin, the ten started for Egypt.
The brothers bowed to the Governor of the land,
As sun, moon and eleven stars they did stand,
Joseph recognised but acted like a stranger,
Spoke harsh, they thought they were in danger.
They unrecognised Joseph, queries they answered
They came from the land of Canaan to buy food,
Joseph called them spies,he did so conclude,
"We are sons of one man, honest not spies"replied.
Joseph persisted on the spying blaze,
"We are twelve born of one man"did deplore,
The youngest with father and the other no more,
They were kept in prison for long three days.
On the third day Joseph asked one of them to stay,
Others could go with grains back,Joseph did say,
But should bring their younger brother on return,
To verify their honesty,it was the only concern.
Brothers spoke to one another were so unkind,
Sin against Joseph flashed in each one's mind,
The plight of Joseph for life in the pit did depress,
They believed the blood of Joseph caused distress.
To take Simeon in to custody,Joseph took decision,
Ordered to fill their bags with grain and provision,
Each man's silver been put in to the sack as decreed,
One on the way found the silver in the sack indeed.
The Governor suspected them to be spies,
They were twelve of one man, they spoke no lies,
Younger one with the father, the other was no more,
Younger one they would bring,by honesty they swore
On emptying their sack found money pouches their own,
" You have deprived of my sons Joseph and now Simeon",
Jacob refused to send Benjamin, his brother was dead,
Any harm to Benjamin would take to grave his gray head.
" Grains bought from Egypt were all eaten"Jacob asked,
" Go back and buy now a little more",Judah refused,
Without Benjamin they could not go,they were warned,
Jacob confused why Benjamin was involved?
Judah assured Jacob,Benjamin would be back safely,
Jacob said to take the of products of Canaan,
Take balm, honey, spices and nuts from here on,
These gifts might find mercy in the eyes quickly.
Also urged to take double the amount of silver,
If that was by mistake placed, return it however,
Permitted to take Benjamin, he woefully sighed,
"As of me I am bereaved, I am bereaved" he cried.
With silver and Benjamin, they hurried to Egypt,
Joseph saw Benjamin with all brothers there at,
An animal be slaughtered and dinner made soon,
Joseph told, they were to eat with me at noon.
Brothers feared of being taken as slaves,
They brought back the silver that was in the sack,
Also additional silver to buy food pack,
Joseph asked them not to fear but be brave.
" Your father's God has given you that treasure
In the sack,I have received your due silver",
Then Joseph brought Simeon out to see brothers,
Steward gave to them water to their donkeys fodders.
They arranged their gifts for Joseph to see,
Also heard that they had to eat with him at noon,
When Joseph arrived they tried to feel free,
They bowed like, eleven stars sun and moon
.
About his dear father, he was probing,
" How is his aged father? Is he living ?",
Joseph recognized Benjamin without any doubt,
Is he your youngest brother you told me about ?".
" God be gracious my son"his feeling seated deep,
He hurried to his private room only to weep,
Managed his emotions, washed his face came back,
' Serve the food' he asked, all were taken aback.
Brothers were seated according to their ages,
From the first born to the youngest on the stages,
They looked in astonishment when portions served,
Benjamin's portions five times higher, never dreamed.
Joseph instructed the steward to do as he said,
Asked to fill the sack to its capacity with food,
And to put each man's silver into the sack,
Put silver cup in to the youngest one's pack.
In the next morn, they started with all food,
They had been obstructed on their way by the steward,
How could return evil for all kindness and good?,
You stole my master's silver cup, what a reward!
The brothers cried that they had not stolen any,
In kindness we only brought back silver and honey,
"One who has the silver cup will be my slave,
The rest may go"Joseph asked them to behave.
The cup was in the sack of the loved Benjamin,
Joseph said to have discovered guilt by divination,
Then all his brothers threw down in frustration,
Born of his old age,our father's loved one Benjamin
.
Judah offered himself to be a slave,
But asked,Benjamin to be left free,
If not, their father might die out of misery,
He would lay his gray head to the grave
"Have everyone leave my presence" he lonely wept,
Egyptians heard this cry,Pharaoh heard about it,
" I am Joseph " he exclaimed,"Is my father,
Still living ?blinked, his nervous brother.
Asked his brothers to come close, he and all wept,
" I am your Joseph the one sold in to Egypt,
Do not be distressed, do not be angry,
God sent me ahead of you to save lives from misery".
Famine would become severe of its kind,
No ploughing,no reaping,no one could find,
"God sent me ahead to save lives from misery",
Goshen a remnant on earth a deliverance in history.
" God made me father to King Pharaoh,
Lord of his entire household, ruler of all Egypt,"
Asked his brothers to hurry back to his father oh!
And that God made Joseph the lord of Egypt.
" Come down to me,do not delay,be near me,
You shall live in the region of Goshen a fertile land,
I will provide for you all just on my command,
The famine are still to come, destitutes will never be."
" Tell my father, the honor accorded to your brother,
Tell him what you have seen and heard,
Bring back my father quickly"then he embraced
Benjamin and all his brothers, kissed, tears ran over.
" Let your brothers go and bring back to the Pharaoh
Your father and families"promised the king hero,
To give them them the best land of Egypt as gift,
He gave carts to bring all families back to Egypt.
Pharaoh asked, not to mind their belongings,
The best of Egypt would be theirs,
Joseph gave them carts and all provisions,
To each of his brothers he gave new clothings.
To Benjamin he gave silver three hundred,
Five sets of clothes, best things of Egypt,
He gave to his father,a load of ten donkeys fit,
Female donkeys loaded with grain and bread.
With all paraphernalia, they came back to Canaan,
They met their troubled father with pomp newborn,
" Joseph is still alive,in fact he is the ruler of Egypt",
Jacob was stunned and in unbelievable episode he wept.
Jacob refused to believe, reluctant to consent,
They told everything,he saw carts Joseph sent,
For his father and kin to travel to Egypt,
His spirit revived, convinced and would never drift.
"My son Joseph is alive"aloud Jacob cried,
" I will go to see him before I die" he said,
Jacob setout with all that was his,
At Beersheba, he offered sacrifices for bliss.
God spoke to Jacob in a great vision,
God asked him to go down to Joseph's Egypt,
He promised to make Jacob in to a great nation,
Also promised to go with him in to Egypt.
God told Jacob that he would be back on His call,
And Joseph's own hand would close his eyes,
The sons took his father children and their wives,
Grand sons daughters, grand daughters and all.
Jacob sent Judah ahead of him to Joseph,
To get directions to meet him at Goshen,
Joseph got his chariot to go at the earliest,
To meet his father who loved him most.
Joseph threw his arms around his father,
And bitterly wept and shed a sea of tears,
Both of them wept and melted in to long years,
Oh! what a separation of father and son, same feather.
Amid sobs Jacob muttered " I am ready to die,
I have myself seen that you are still alive",
The dreamer was lost and the dreamer was found,
Jacob and kin settled at Goshen with fanfare and sound.
They had acquired property without any fears,
Jacob lived in Egypt for seventeen long years,
Before Jacob died, from Joseph he got a promise,
That he be buried at their forefather's place.
Joseph swore to do so standing on the ground,
Jacob was running one hundred and forty seven years,
As per vision,Joseph closed his father's eyes of tears,
The dreamer was lost yet dreamer was found.
Joseph rose from pit to palace,it was clear,
The Lord was with him so he did prosper,
The dreamer, a dreamer and also a redeemer,
Saved suffering people when famine was severe.
Poet Tennyson's " Men may come.." does rebound,
Joseph here goes on for ever, a perennial stream,
Millions read Joseph the dreamer, an eternal dream,
The dreamer was lost yet the dreamer was found.

Dreamer Lost ! Dreamer Found ! Part One
In the distant land of Canaan Jacob dwelt,
Wherein his father,an unknown stranger yet,
A vast expanse of wilderness to tend flocks,
In search of green moved amid hills and rocks.
The most loved Joseph just seventeen,he did run,
He would go and feed the flocks with his brethren,
The sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, he did engage,
Jacob loved Joseph more, being son of his old age.
He made a coat of many colours,a sign of love,
Made for Joseph, wished to be blessed by God above,
Father's love for his eleventh son made others hate,
Joseph dreamed dreams that made him ever great.
In the dream, they were working day and night,
Binding sheaves,Joseph's sheaf arose stood upright,
The sheaves of other brethren stood around and bowed,
Incensed with jealous asked him in a voice so loud.
Whether he had any dominion to reign over them?
Should they bow down to him or would he condemn?
The dream only fetched him not love but more hate,
The dream might fetch him later on greater estate.
In yet another dream the sun and the moon in a row,
Along with eleven stars bowed down, raised eye brow,
His father rebuked, parents who were like a crown,
With eleven brothers came to earth to bow down?
Brothers within fires of envy moved to Shechem,
Feeding their father's flock became their anthem,
Jacob ask'd Joseph to find his brothers and the flock,
At Dothan he found his brothers after a long walk.
'There came Joseph the dreamer' envied brothers said,
No love in the heart, only hatred, what be brotherhood?
Seeing Joseph afar, murmuring brothers calmly stood,
Conceived and conspired of shedding brother's blood.
They readied to kill and cast him in to a pit,
Then to make a lie to their father about wild a beast,
They wanted to see what becomes of his dreams,
Decided to kill before the set of evening beams.
The first born of Jacob,Reuben an idea did submit,
Shed no blood but cast him in to the pit,
A pit in the wilderness and a waterless pit,
Reuben wished to deliver, that was his mindset,
They stripped Joseph out of his coat of many colours,
Dishonest shame and cowardice spoke not of valours,
They drove the eleventh son into the pit darker,
The hell was within, the pit was empty with out water.
The heart with out love, mind with out reason,
To eat their own doom they sat,lo! what a treason,
A caravan of Ishmaelites with camels passed by,
Traders of spices Egypt bound,on the camels so high.
Judah now posed a question that so read,
"What profit there might be if we kill him on?"
Let not we shed his blood, not our hand fall upon,
He was none but our own flesh and blood,he said.
The brothers united in mind were content,
They agreed to sell the dreamer to Ishmaelites,
They pulled up Joseph and lifted him out of pit,
They worked out a deal for twenty silver shekles.
'Tooth for tooth','eye for eye' so we heard,
How much crude the mentality of the herd,
Now brother selling brother in to slavery,
Blood not so thicker,Oh! sold in a hurry.
Now Reuben returned but Joseph was not there,
He tore clothes of Joseph, returned to his brothers,
"The lad is not there, where shall I go?"he asked,
A kid of goat killed,in blood the coat dipped.
They came back to his father and showed the coat,
The bloody coat of colours dipped in blood of goat,
It generated once envy, jealous and vengeance,
Man so low, never showed nobler benevolence.
Father recognised the coat of colours that he made,
"Truly it is my son's",he bitterly wept and said,
A beast should have devoured, made him to pieces,
How deep the filial love of innocent Jacob to asses.
Jacob put on sackcloth as a penitence for ever,
A sign of mourning he could give up never,
All his sons and daughters came to him to comfort,
But Jacob refused and was found in discomfort.
"For I shall go down in to grave,
To my son in mourning" Jacob did brave,
Thus his father shed tears and at heart grieved,
He trusted all his sons and never disbelieved.
Jacob so timid only with a stick could walk further,
In his heart lived,Joseph and Rachel,Joseph's mother,
The villains of peace his sons together yet apart,
The favourite son no more, lost yet alive in his heart.

Walk The Talk !
Never to simply talk and simply to go,
Talk and do,do and talk despite any woe,
Words and actions do match and follow,
Speak words with grace, never be shallow.
Mean what you talk, talk what you mean,
Walk the talk, you 'll never be a hypocrite,
Keep promises to make life ever green
Commit to action you will ever find delight,
Whoever walks the talk creates history,
Parents, leaders and all,do walk the talk,
Wins hearts beyond seas and geography,
See,all will emulate and talk on your walk,
You can walk, yet don't walk your talk,
But I can't walk,yet I do walk my talk.

Haiku On Haiti !
Carribean a tree
Just one red lonely leaf
Haiti bleeds.
Earthquake rocks,
Wailing from debris,
Haiti cries.
Huge banyan tree falls,
Homeless birds,
Uprooted Haiti.
Sorrowing moor,
Clouds hang on Haiti,
Autumn deepens.
Naked children,
Poverty another name,
Haiti suffers.
No cicada's cry,
Disastrous calm,
Haiti a graveyard.

When God Battles For You !
Victory is cock sure as dawn on cock's crow,
There would be shine,no eclipse anywhere,
Rain is certain from pregnant clouds also
Enemy clamours to cease,to exit, never to dare.
On war field a shepherd boy unarmed stood,
With only a staff, sling and five smooth stones,
Goliath thundered laughter to fall like a wood,
Not knowing the boy would break all his bones
"Let all the earth know, there is a God in Israel,
From his sling, struck Goliath,he fell to the mud,
"The battle is God's,He saves a stone did rattle,
With Goliath's sword he cut off the giant's head.
Saul wondered and asked,"Whose son is he?"
"I'm David the son of your servant Jesse."

Haiti Is Crying !
Haiti needs to pray and pray together,
The earthquake hits the Caribbean nation,
Poor Caribbean nation so quickly made poorer,
Nine million desperately needs compassion,
Piled bodies along the devastated streets,
Tens of thousands lost their dear home,
Wailing,from the debris mournfully greets
Without shelter on the streets they roam.
Earthquake the strongest in two hundred years,
Even the Presidential Palace stands in ruin,
Ruins, debris and damages claim more tears,
No hospitals to handle the wounded victims in
Haiti is crying, none to comfort,oh!none
Each one grieves with out the loved one.

Jerusalem To Jericho !
The most despised Samaritan but chose,
To go such an high by loving his neighbour,
To inherit eternal life, thereby he rose,
Created history as Good Samaritan for ever.
A Jew on a trip, from Jerusalem to Jericho,
Saw a man half dead on the way beside,
Caught in the midst, bandids attacked him,Lo!
A Priest,a Levite seeing went on to other side.
A Samaritan alone, showed pity on the victim,
Took him on his donkey, admitted him in an inn,
Soothed wounds with oil and wine, bandaged him,
Paid two silver, promised to pay any on return.
Jerusalem to Jericho" kindness did bestow,
But Samaritan to racism dealt a death blow !

" Where Are The Nine ? "
Gratitude,a preface of virtues so deep,
That dwells in the heart of mankind,
If"thanks" due,pay and then go to sleep,
Ingratitude,a sin grievous and unkind.
In a village ten lepers on seeing Jesus,
At once cried for mercy and grace,
Exclaimed," Jesus have mercy on us"
Favour big or small, with thanks embrace.
Out of the ten,one Samaritan leper came,
Jesus asked," But where are the nine?"
He only gave thanks, glorified God's name,
A concern of the shepherd,a gesture divine.
Sin of Ingratitude will never make us shine,
Remember the words,"Where are the nine?"

Go Away 2009 !
The year very much obsessed with misery,
A set of new woes spread far and wide,
Recession,depression,fraud and bankruptcy,
Became unsurmountable new tide.
Inflation,job losses and stimulus package,
All new names for financial meltdown,
A new kind of nuclear arsenal in this age,
Even global streets were going down.
No joy of spring, ruled sorrow of winter,
After turn of autumn,we hoped for bloom,
Old homes gone,no new homes to enter,
So sad a year with full of biting gloom.
Oh! "The Year Two Thousand Nine" go away,
Do not come again on any other day.

Message From Mount Calvary !
Fall due to my sin was so much certain,
I lifted up mine eyes to the hills,
But blessings came from the mountain,
Healings came according to my wills.
The hero and the king of Mt Calvary,
For my sins shed His precious blood,
I was so penitent and so sorry,
I eschewed the path of sin,not to tread.
The moment He laid His life on the cross,
I was healed as per the rule of heavens,
But why I still linger in pain across?
Many a disease still haunts and governs.
That I have failed to realise the wounds,
From Mount Calvary only healing rebounds.
