Psalms In Haiku Poems

Psalm-131

Heart is not haughty
Nor my eyes lofty,for me
No matter is great.

I have stilled
And quieted my soul
Like a weaned child.

My soul
Is like a weaned child within
Hope in Yahweh.

Psalm-132

Yahweh
Remembers David
All his afflictions.

I will not give
Sleep to my eyes or slumber
To my eyelids.

We will go
In to his dwelling place
Worship at his foot.

Let your priest
Be clothed with righteousness
Saints shout for joy.

For your servant
David's sake do not turn
Away from it.

I will set
The fruit of your body
On your throne.

If your children
Keep my covenant they will also
Sit on your throne

Love chose Zion
He has desired it for
His habitation.

My resting place
Here I will give
I have desired it

I will greatly bless
I will satisfy her poor
With bread.

I will clothe
His enemies with shame
Crown resplendent.

Psalm-133

See how good
And how pleasant it is
Brothers live as one.

It is like
Precious oil on the head
Ran down on the beard

Aaron's beard
Oil came down on the edge
Of his robes.

Dew of Hermon
Came down on the hills
Of Zion.

Yahweh gives
His blessings and even
Life for ever more.

Psalm-134

Praise Yahweh
All you servants of Yahweh
Who stand in his house.

Lift up your hand
In the sanctuary
Praise Yahweh.

May Yahweh bless
You from Zion,who made
Heaven and earth

Psalm-135

Praise the Lord
Servants of the Lord praise
The name of the Lord.

The Lord is good
Sing praises to his Name
It is pleasant

The Lord is great
Our Lord is above all gods
I know.

What the Lord pleased
He did in heaven,earth
In seas and deep places.

From the ends of earth
He makes lightning for rain
Brings wind

My Beloved
Your name endures for ever
Memory for ages

Idols of heathens
Are silver and gold,the work
Of men's hand.

They have mouths
But speak not,eyes they have
But they see not

They have ears,
They hear not,no breath
In their mouths.

Bless the Lord
House of Israel;, Aaron
Levi fears the Lord

Psalm-136

Give thanks to the Lord
Mercy endures for ever
Lord is good

Give thanks to the Lord
Mercy endures for ever
God of gods.

Give thanks
Mercy endures for ever
Lord of lords.

Give thanks
His mercy endures for ever
Doer of wonders.

Give thanks
Mercy endures for ever
Wisdom made heavens.

Earth above waters
Mercy endures for ever
The Lord has made.

Give thanks
Mercy endures for ever
Made great lights.

Give thanks
Mercy endures for ever
The sun rules by day

Thank the stars
Mercy endures for ever
Moon rules by night.

Who smote Egypt
In their firstborn
His mercy endures.

Brought out Israel
Out of Egypt by mercy
That endures for ever.

Give thanks
Mercy endures for ever
Who divided Red Sea.

Pharaoh and hosts
Over threw in Red Sea
His mercy endures.

He led his people
Through the wilderness
His mercy endures

Give thanks
Who smote kings and slew them
His mercy endures

Gave an heritage
To Israel and his servants
His mercy endures.

Who remembered us
In our low estate
His mercy endures.

He redeemed us
From our enemies
His mercy endures.

Give thanks
Who gives food to all flesh
His mercy endures.

O Give thanks
Unto the God of heaven
His mercy endures.

Psalm-137

We sat down and wept
By rivers of Babylon
Remembered Zion.

They carried us captive
Asked to sing one of the songs
Of Zion.

How shall we sing
The Lord's song
In a strange land.

If I forget
Jerusalem let my tongue cleave
To the roof of mouth.

O Daughters
Of Babylon he shall be
Happy to reward.

Happy shall he be
That dashes your little one
Against the stones.

Psalm-138

I will praise you
With my whole heart, I sing
Before the gods.

I will worship
Toward your holy temple for
Your loving kindness.

When I have cried
You have answered me and
Strengthened me.

Kings of the earth
Shall praise you when they hear
The words of your mouth.

They shall sing
The glory of the Lord
In the ways of Lord

The Lord be high
He loves the lowly
The proud afar off.

I walk in trouble
Your right hand revives
And saves me

O Lord
Forsake not your works of hand
Your mercy endures.

Psalm-139

O Lord
You have searched me
And known me.

You compass my path
And my lying down
You are with me.

O Lord
Not a word against you
Know me altogether.

Lord where shall I go?
From your spirit and
From your presence.

You are anywhere
In heaven and in hells
And in depths of seas.

In heaven,
In hell and in seas
Your right hand saves me.

Darkness shall cover
Even the night shall be light
About me.

You hold my reins
You have covered me
In my mother's womb.

Your thoughts unto me
Are more in number
Than the sand.

The wicked speak
Against you,your foes take
Your name in vain.

Do not I hate them
That hate you,I consider them
My enemies.

Psalm-140

Love deliver me
From evil men,preserve me
From violent men.

Those with mischief
In their heart,gathered
Together for war.

They have sharpened
Tongues like a serpent
Poison is in their lips.

The proud have hid
A snare for me and cords
Net by the wayside.

You are my God
Hear my supplication
O My Lord.

O God the Lord
Covered my head in battle
My salvation.

Grant not,O Lord
The desires of the wicked
Exalt themselves.

Coals of fire
They be cast in to fire,
In to deep pits.

The Lord
Maintains the afflicted
And the poor.

Righteous gives thanks
To your name,the upright
Dwells in your presence.
