Psalms In Haiku Poems

Psalm-141

I cry unto you
Give ear unto my voice
Make haste unto me.

O Lord set a watch
Before my mouth,keep
The door of my lips.

Incline not my heart
To the wicked let me not
Eat of their dainties.

Let the righteous
Smite me,it shall
Be a kindness.

When their judges,
Overthrown in stony places
They shall hear my word.

My eyes look to you
In you is my trust, leave not
My soul destitute.

Keep me from the snares
Let wicked fall in their net
While I escape

Psalm-142

I cried to the Lord
With my voice to the Lord
Make supplication.

Spirit in distress
Overwhelmed me within
You know my path.

In the way
Wherein I walked they laid
A snare for me.

There was no man
That would know me,no man
Cared for my soul.

You are my refuge
And portion in the land
Of the living,Lord!

Deliver me
From the persecutors,
Stronger than I.

I may praise your name
The righteous shall compass me
Deal bountifully.

Psalm-143

Hear my prayer O Lord!
Hear my supplications
In faith and right.

Enter not in to
Judgment with your servant
Life not justified.

Foes persecuted me
Made me to dwell in darkness
As if long dead.

Therefore within
My spirit is overwhelmed
Heart is desolate.

I remember
Days of old,meditate on
The work of your hand.

I stretch forth
My hands unto you,thirsty
As a thirsty land.

My spirit fails
Hide not your face from me
Going down to pit.

Cause me to hear
Your kindness in the morn
I trust your love.

Cause me to know
Your way wherein I should walk
I lift up my soul

Deliver me
From my enemies,to hide
I flee unto you.

You are my God
In the land of uprightness
Lead me

Quicken me O Lord
For your righteousness sake
Deliver my soul.

Out of mercy
Destroy all those who afflict
Your servant's soul.

Psalm-144

Blessed be the Lord
My strength, trains my hands to war
Fingers to fight

Goodness and fortress
My high tower,my shield
My deliverer.

Man like vanity
His days are as a shadow
That passes away

Cast forth lightning
And scatter them,shoot out
Arrows to destroy.

Send your hand
From above,deliver me
Out of great waters.

Mouth speaks vanity
And their right hand is
Of falsehood.

I will sing
A new song upon the harp
I will sing praises.

He gives salvation
Delivers David his servant
From the hurtful sword.

Deliver me
From the hand of strange children
Mouth speaks vanity.

That our sons are plants
That are grown up in their youth
Daughters, cornerstones.

That our sheep
May bring forth thousands
And ten thousands.

That our oxen
May be strong to labour
No breaking in it.

Psalm-145

I will extol you
I will bless your name
For ever and ever

Great is the Lord
Greatness is to be praised
Is unsearchable.

One generation
Shall praise your work to other
Declare your great works

The Lord is gracious
With pity,slow to anger
And of great mercy.

Saints shall speak
The glory of your kingdom
Talk of your power.

An everlasting
Kingdom and your dominion
Endures for ages

Lord is righteous
In all his ways and holy
In all his works.

He will fulfil
Desires of those that fear him
Hears cry and saves.

He preserves
Those that love him,destroys
The wicked.

Psalm-146

Praise the Lord
O My soul while I live
I praise the Lord.

Put not your trust
In princes or man or any one
Trust the Lord our God.

Happy is he
Who has the God of Jacob
For his help.

He made heaven,
Earth ,the sea and all there in
Keeps the truth for ages.

Relieves the oppressed
Gives food to the hungry
Releases prisoners.

The eyes of the blind
The Lord opens,raises the lowly
Loves the righteous.

The Lord preserves
The strangers,fatherless and widow
Destroys the wicked.

O Zion
Unto all generations
Praise the Lord .

Psalm-147

Praise the Lord
Good to sing praises to God
Praise is comely

The Lord
Builds up Jerusalem,gathers
Outcasts of Israel.

The broken in hearts
He heals and binds up
Their wounds.

He tells the number
Of stars,he calls them
All by their names.

Great is our Lord
His understanding is infinite
Of great powers.

Sing to the Lord
With thanksgiving upon harp
Praise the Lord.

He covers heaven
With cloud,sends rains to earth
Grass grows on mountains.

He delights not
In the strength of horse and
In the legs of man

Lord delights
In them that fear him
Who hopes in his grace.

Praise the Lord
O Jerusalem praise
Your God O Zion.

Strengthened
The bars of your gate
Blessed your children.

He sends forth
His commandments upon earth
His words run swiftly.

He casts forth
His ice like morsels,none
Stands before his cold.

He causes
Winds to blow and the waters
To flow.

He shews his word
His statutes to Israel
And to Jacob
