In great deep they risk life,
For gold from the hard rock ore,
No new dawn for children and wife,
His life a saga of untold misery,
Goes in search of gold's site,
Unwritten story of gloom and worry
In dark struggles with his headlight.
Travels in the unknown land,
His arms rewrite India's fate,
For the yellow metal of legend,
Makes this historic nation great.
But humbled in poverty stands bare,
His fate to many a rare nightmare.
