Samson The Great !

An Angel of God appeared to Manoah,

Said, God would bless him with a son,

Of Herculean strength to combat his foe,

Only Nazirite condition they should follow,

Not to take alcohol,not to cut son's hair,

The son was Samson,a name of honour,

A fair woman Delilah a Philistine he loved,

For one thousand one hundred silver coin,

Betrayed and with enemies she did join,

Known the secret of his seven locks of hair,

Her own servant cut his hair while asleep,

Imprisoned and subjected to all labour cheap,

Unkind Philistines pulled out his two eyes,

A great cruelty in history under the skies,

All Philistine leaders were in a huge temple,

For doing sacrifice to Dagon they did assemble,

Samson blind, stood amid two great pillars,

He prayed to God for strength with new long hair,

His loss of eyes flashed,he pulled down the pillars,

Temple down'd, Philistines aveng'd, Samson died.
