No good tree bears bad fruit,
Nor does a bad tree bear good fruit,
Each tree is recognized by its own fruit,
People do not pick fig from thorn bushes,
No grapes are plucked from so called briers.
Good man brings good things from the heart,
Long that has been stored for long ever,
But evil man brings evil stored, never to depart,
He knows to speak evil and at it he is so clever,
Mouth speaks only what that flows from the heart.

Don't Judge,Lest you Be Judged !
Do not judge and you will not be judged,
Do not condemn and you will not be condemned,
Forgive, you will be forgiven and beseech'd,
Give, it will be given in good measure poured.
Can a blind man lead a blind man?
Oh ! will they not both fall in to a pit?
A student is not above his teacher born,
After training he will be like his teacher fit.
You look at the speck in your brother's eye?
But not to the plank that is in your own eye,
How can ask your brother of the speck in his eye,
You doubly fail to see the plank in your own eye.
You hypocrite! take the plank out of your own eye,
Don't worry about the speck in your brother's eye.

The Eye Of A Needle !
Camel can easily enter into the eye of a needle,
But a rich man can't enter into God's kingdom,
Disciples amazed, how they can be saved a riddle,
What's impossible,possible in God's own wisdom.
Peter said,"We have forsaken all to follow thee ",
What shall we have, prayed Jesus to ascribe,
Son of Man will be on the throne of glory,
On regeneration you 'll be judges of twelve tribe,
He that has forsaken house, brethren or sister,
Father, mother,wife,children or even land,
Shall receive hundred fold ,make my name glitter,
And inherit an everlasting life,so you ever stand.
For many that are first shall be the last,
For many that are last shall be the first.

Parables Of Jesus Christ !( In Poetry ) Author's Note
It was my dream to compose parables in poetry,
Into poetic form to bring the divine words of Jesus,
My ambition of life as though I made some history,
I endeavoured in humility to have my wishes.
Of course a parable is a tale imaginative,
And yet realistic conveys higher spiritual truth,
Innovative teachings of Jesus, the most attractive,
Vibrant seeds of spiritual truth full of youth.
Deals with people's issues such as agriculture,
Justice,greed,prayer,faith,forgiveness and love,
Simple and memorable stories of the nature,
Message deep as the sea, vast as the sky above.
They are clothed in expressions of God's love,
Designed to teach a moral, simply words of Christ,
Words that emanated from the Father the God above,
Hence the teachings of Our Lord Jesus the truest.
Some parables are the stories in the world best known,
"The Good Samaritan ",The workers in the vineyard ",
"The Prodigal Son " 'The Ten Virgins " are our own,
"Barren Fig Tree "still our hearts echo the words of Lord.

Vine And Branches !
I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener,
Every branch that bears not fruit he takes away,
That which bears fruits he purges as a good farmer,
Branch that abides in vine gives fruit straight away.
I am the vine you are its branches,he that abides
In me,brings forth more fruit,he that abides not,
On its own no fruit there will be, it only withers,
Such branches are thrown in to eternal fire at last.
If you abide in me and I in you,my words live,
When my Father is glorified, you bear much fruit,
If you keep my commandments,in me you thrive,
I do keep and thrive in my father's love, follow suit,
My joy must remain in you, yours must be in full,
As I loved you, you shall love one another,
This is my command you keep, make it not null,
There is no greater love, for friends to lay life together.
You have not chosen me but you I have chosen,
And ordained you to bring forth fruit for ever,
Whatsoever you ask of my Father in my name, given
I command you again that you should love one another.

Sheep And Goats !
Son of Man shall sit with angels in glory on the throne,
Before him shall be all the nations gathered,
He shall separate them one from another on his own,
As shepherds, the sheep from the goats separated.
Sets he sheep on his right, goats on his left hand,
The king shall say to them on his right,be bold,
Blessed of my father inherit the kingdom grand,
Prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
For I was hungry gave me meat, thirsty gave me drink,
I was a stranger you took me in,naked you clothed me,
On hearing all these, the king speaking they did blink,
When we did all these and where did we see thee?
I was sick you visited me and I was in prison,
You came to me,the righteous answer him saying,
When we see thee hungry and fed thee? we know none,
Thirsty and gave thee drink, when gave thee clothing.
When we saw thee stranger and when in, we took thee?
When we saw thee sick? or in prison when we came ?
Inasmuch you did to the least of my brethren,it's to me,
The righteous did all these not knowing even the name.
Turning to the left, he said ' You cursed, depart'
You go to the everlasting fire that's prepared for the devil,
For I was hungry, you gave me no meat,
I was thirsty you gave me no drink at your will.
I was a stranger you never took me in,
Naked clothed me not, sick and in prison visited not,
Lord when we see thee hungry, thirsty, naked and in prison,
Inasmuch as he did not to the least,to me you did not
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment,
The righteous will go in to embrace life eternal,
Whatever little you do to the least, its for betterment,
When you don't do to the least of brethren, you go to hell.

Feast Invitation !
Whenever you make a dinner or a supper,
Call not your friends, nor your brethren,
Neither your kinsmen, nor your rich neighbour,
Lest they will also bid thee again when,
A recompense would be made however.
But whenever or wherever you make a feast,
Call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind,
You shall be blessed for they can't compensate,
You shall be recompensed that you will find,
Recompensing at the resurrection of the just.

Groom's Attendants !
Pharisees and the disciples of John used to fast,
Came to Jesus, asked,"Why thy disciples fast not?"
"Can the children of the bride chamber fast ?"yet,
"While the bridegroom is with them" looked aghast,
'They can't fast,' bridegroom is the why and the what.
Day will come and the bridegroom shall be taken away,
Then they will fast in those days, will mourn and pray.

Divided Kingdom !
"It is not he who doth cast out the devil,
He casts out devil by Beelzebub the devils' prince",
Pharisees so declared,Jesus read their thoughts of evil,
Every kingdom divided against will be desolated hence.
Every city and house divided against shall not stand,
If Satan cast out Satan, his kingdom will surely fall,
Your children will cast out devil by whose hand?
Your children will be the judges, tomorrow will recall.
I cast out devil by the Spirit of God,be known to you,
A strong man can't be overpowered unless he is bound,
Then only anyone can spoil his house as they wish to do,
The house can be robbed in silence and without sound.

Without him we are against,we only scatter.

Great Physician !
Jesus sat at meat in the house of Levi the host,
Publicans and sinners also sat together,
With Jesus and disciples, many with the guest,
Over the feast,Scribes and Pharisees did murmur.
They chided the disciples, how is that your master,
Eats and drinks with sinners and publicans ?
Jesus hearing them replied crisply then and there,
They that are whole need at all no physicians.
But they that are sick need the physician,
Jesus said," I came not to call the righteous "
But the sinners to repentance on compassion,
Repentance gives eternal life others only lifeless.
Scribes or Pharisees,Publicans or Sinners,
On repentance alone can become winners.

The Minas ( Pounds ) !
A certain noble man went in to far country,
To receive for himself a great kingdom,
Before taking up journey, wanted to give money,
To his ten servants each ten pounds in his wisdom,
Asked them to conduct business till return journey.
But his citizens hated him and sent a message,
"We don't want this man to reign us over",
Having received the kingdom, returned with courage,
He demanded his servants, all accounts to deliver,
To know how they did business to earn their wage.
The first said,' Lord your Mina has earned ten more',
The Lord commended him, gave authority over ten cities,
The second came,'Lord your Mina has earned five more",
The Lord praised him and gave authority over five cities,
Another said," I kept your Mina in my napkin,I restore.
Further he said,'I feared thee, thou art an austere man,
You take where you did not lay, reap where you did not sow',
"Out of your own mouth will I judge you, that I can,"
You wicked servant my character is such that you know,
You should have deposited in the bank at least interest to earn.
Take the Mina from him and give it to him who has ten,
For sure everyone who has, more will be given,
But for him who doesn't have, even that he has will be taken,
My foes who did not want me to reign will not be forgiven,
Kill them before me,to death let them at once be driven.

The Shrewd Manager !
There was a certain rich man who had a manager !
Against the manager there was an accusation,
He was abusing his possessions in undue manner,
He was summoned to give accounts of his position,
Immediately, that he can't be manager there after.
Manager spoke to himself,"I 've no strength to plow,
I am ashamed to beg" he said,"what I'll do, I know",
He called the lord's first debtor,"How much do you owe ?",
He reduced his oil debt by half,he called the second also,
He corrected hundred bushels of wheat in to eighty, did so
The lord commended the dishonest manager's wisdom,
Children of the world are wiser than the children of light,
They befriend the unrighteous mammon as an income,
He is faithful in a little, faithful also in much that is outright,
He who is dishonest in a little, also in much a sad dictum.
If you have not been faithful in handling wealth,
Who will trust you with riches which are true reality ?
Transparent reliability is but a sign of good health,
You have not been faithful with some one's property,
Alas ! you may be given nothing and end in dire poverty.
No servants can serve two masters because,
For either he will hate the one, love the other,
Or else he will hold one and despise for no cause,
You can't serve both God and mammon together,
Money is not an end in itself its only a resource.

Building A Tower And Making War !
Jesus turned and said to the following great multitude,
"Whoever wants to follow me must hate his father,
Mother, all kinsmen and his own life"such attitude,
Of bearing his own cross make him disciple altogether,
He who wants to build a tower, must think in all altitude,
He must calculate the cost to know how to complete,
He laid a foundation alas ! but not be able to finish,
Will be a mockery if he has no resources to allocate,
His work amid shame and ridicule he must relinquish,
A king going on war, first his capabilities he must rate,
Whether to manage with ten thousand troops or make truce,
Or face an encounter with stronger troops of twenty thousand,
Before war he sends an envoy to know the conditions of peace,
If pros and cons not analysed, there will be a disastrous end,
All that he has, bearing his own cross,he must after all renounce.
He who forsakes everything, alone can be my disciple,
Salt if loses savour by what it can be seasoned ?
Neither fit for the land nor yet for the dunghill,
It is thrown out,no way its use is envisioned,
"He who has ears, let him hear"and do God's will.

The Lowest Seat !
Make it when you are invited to a marriage feast,
Don't sit in the best seat, but seek to go to the lowest,
Someone more honourable might be invited for treat,
He who invited both of you,may come on his behest,
Tell you"Make room for this person"he might unseat.
You would begin with shame to take the lowest seat,
When you are invited go and sit in the lowest place,
He who invited you on seeing there he would greet,
"Friend move up higher " would shower on him grace,
Such honour amid those would enlighten his face.
For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled,
And whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

The Friend In Need !
He goes in search of a friend at midnight,
Asks to lend him three loaves of bread,
For his friend who came on a trip that night,
"He has nothing to set before him",he said,
Friend said,"Don't bother me,the door is shut".
"My children are with me in the bed,I can't get up",
On persistent asking he gets up,gives him his need,
Ask, it will be given, seek you will find to look up,
Knock it will be opened to you as you to proceed,
For whoever asks receives, such grace he picks up.
Who seeks finds, who knocks,is opened for ovation,
Which of you fathers, your son when asks for bread,
Give him a stone, for fish, snake for egg, scorpion,
None will do so,but Heavenly Father gives more good,
Even His Holy Spirit when asked gives with jubilation.

The Unworthy Servants !
But who is there among you? you have none,
To a servant who plows and keeps the sheep,
When he returns from the field after work done,
Will he say come at once to the table to dine deep,
Will he not tell him what he must do and do shun,
Like,prepare my supper,cloth yourself properly,
And wait on me to serve until I eat and drink,
Afterward you shall eat and drink, said commandingly,
And then you can wash all the dishes in the sink,
Thanks nowhere, even for your work done promptly.
Despite all you can say that we are "Unworthy Servants",
We have done only our duty by obeying commandments.

My oxen and fat lings are killed, things are ready,
The invitees made light of it went their own way,
One to the farm, merchandise, many such were busy,
Others grabbed, illtreated and killed the servants away.
The king was angry,he sent his army that destroyed,
Those cruel murderers and burned their own city,
He said to his servants in anger very much buoyed,
The invited weren't worthy, but the wedding is ready,
Go to the highways and call, many they found gathered.
Packed guests good and bad found in the wedding,
The king found one with out wedding clothing,
"Friend how did you come in with out wedding clothing",
To the king he replied not,he stood grim and speechless,
'' Bind him hand and foot, throw him to outer darkness"
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth,
For many are called but a few are chosen,
Things are so wrought in the burning fire beneath,
The sons of light as we are,His own children,
The sons of darkness has only darkness to bequeath.

The Watchful Porter !
Watch, keep alert, pray,be not care free,
You don't know when the appointed time is,
Its like a man travelling to another country,
Given authority to his servants, not to be at ease.
Given each man work to do,to see on returning,
He commanded the doorkeeper specially to watch,
You don't know when the lord of the house is coming,
Whether at evening, or at midnight or at any such.
Or when the rooster crows or in the morning,
He may come at whatever unexpected time,
Lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping,
Therefore I tell all 'watch',watch is our rhyme.
Be diligent, stay alert for the coming of Christ,
At what time ? but his coming is imminent.

The Dragnet ( Fish in the Net ) !
The Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet,
A fishing net that was cast into the sea,
Gathered fish of every kind in the net,
When it was full, they drew up with glee.
They sat down and gathered the good,
But whatever bad they threw away,
Took the good fish into container for food,
The bad thrown into fire, found its one-way.
Similar the end of the world,so will it be,
The angels will come forth and separate,
The wicked from the righteous by decree,
Cast in to hell where fire opens its gate.
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth,
In the fiery lake of burning sulfur beneath.

The Householder !
Teacher who has been made a disciple,
In the Lord's Kingdom of Heaven,
Knows both kingdom and the law infallible,
Teaches the truth that make life enliven.
The scribe is just like the householder,
Who brings out from house new and the old,
Teaches the humble students,truth ever,
Both Testaments have value as that of gold.
God's words are eternal and manifold,
We do often make certain observation,
As we read Testaments the new and the old,
Let us by our spirit infer its application.
Every word has a body and a soul,
The spirit is everything on the whole.

The Pearl Of Great Price !
There was a merchant who was seeking pearl,
But one day he found a pearl of great price,
Seeking and recognising the value,he did swirl,
He sold all that he had and all his merchandise,
The pearl of great price is Jesus,His flag unfurl.
He bought the pearl that he most sought,
For which he wandered from place to place,
Its a feather in his cap,for him a true boast,
What was found, that was through God's grace,
Jesus not only our eternal life also our host.

The Faithful And Wicked Servants !
Who then is the faithful and wise steward ?
The lord will set him over with all that he has,
He provides them their portion of food as reward,
His servants dutiful and faithful, test they do pass,
Such servant is blessed in lord's eye going forward.
But the wicked says, the lord delays his coming,
He beats the servants he or she, eats and drinks,
And drunken all the time in loose talk chatting,
He in the grip of intoxicants, there he only sinks,
Lord will come in a day when he was not expecting.
For the lord's will servants who have not prepared,
Will be beaten here with many more hard blows,
To whoever much is given much also is required,
Bad behaviour yet knowing given much less woes,
To whom much was entrusted, more will be asked.

The faithful And Wise Servant !
Be dressed and be ready, keep your lamps burning,
Be like men who are watching for their lord,
From the wedding feast who is returning,
When he comes and knocks the stewards on guard,
Should immediately open to him to prove watching.
Blessed are they whom the lord finds watching,
He will dress them and make them sit to recline,
He will come and serve the faithful,by appreciating,
In second or third watch if on duty its a silver line,
Such duty consciousness would be a real blessing.
Know this if the master of the house had known,
In what hour the thief would be coming,
He would 've averted breaking the house of his own,
Be alert for the son of man like a thief he is coming,
In hour quite unexpected and quite unknown.

The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure,
Hidden in the field which a man found,
And hid it,he went about in great pleasure,
To sell what all he had, just to buy the ground,
He bought it with faith, joy and high rapture.
Why God conceals the gift of life eternal ?
Not in order that it may not be found,
By seeking the Lord, we can break the hell,
Make eternal fire go out of the battleground
Eternal life descends with a bang of the bell.

The Unforgiving Servant !
The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king,
Who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants,
He began to reconcile, one by one asked to bring,
One was brought to him, owed him Ten Thousand talents.
He could not pay,his lord ordered him to be sold,
With his wife, children and all that he had,
And payment to be made at once he was told,
He fell down and kneeled before him, grim and sad.
He cried,'' Lord have patience I will repay ",
Having moved with compassion he forgave his debt,
He went and found one of his co-servants going away,
He owed him one hundred denarii,he was not left,
But he grabbed him and took him by throat,
Saying pay me at once what you owe,
He fell down at his feet,he only mercy sought,
Begged for patience and time to pay above.
But cast him into prison,he would not forgive,
His fellow servants felt extremely sorry,
About the cruel treatment, he did give,
They came to the lord and narrated the story.
The lord said,"Wicked servant I forgave all your debt",
Shouldn't you have mercy that mercy I had for you,
Angry lord delivered him to the tormentors but,
To be in prison, until he should pay all that was due.
Likewise my Heavenly Father will also do,
If you don't each forgive your brother,
That forgiveness from your heart should accrue,
Or He will deliver you to tormentors altogether.

A man had two sons,he to the first son said,
'Son work today in my vineyard',
He answered,' I will not ' but afterward,
Changed his mind and went, word he did guard.
He came to the second son and said the same,
"I will go sir" politely he proclaimed,
But he didn't go,disobeyed for a bad name,
"Which of the two did father's will"Jesus asked.
'The First' the listeners in unison said,
Jesus said,Before you enter the kingdom of God,
The tax-collectors,the prostitutes will go ahead,
They believed John and repentance and the Lord.
Not everyone who says to me,'Lord.Lord',
But he who does the will of my father,
Alone will enter the kingdom of God,
And seize the kingdom and heaven altogether.

The wicked Tenants !
A man planted a vineyard, let it out to some farmers,
He went in to another country stayed for a long time,
At harvest time he sent his servant to collect shares,
Sent him away empty, by beating they did a crime,
He sent yet another servant he was taken unawares.
They also beat him, entreated him shamefully,
Manhandled him,sent him away empty,
He sent yet a third, treated him abnormally,
Threw stones, wounded him, life became risky,
"What shall I do" the lord spoke contemplatively.
"I will send my beloved son, they will respect"
The farmers saw and reasoned themselves to kill,
This is the heir let's kill, inheritance we protect,
Out of the vineyard they killed, blood ran chill,
What the lord of the vineyard do except to reject.
He will come and destroy the farmers,
Its God's doing that they must be punished,
He will give the vineyard to others,
Those heard said, may it never be happened,
Then what is in the scripture about the builders?
The stone which the builders rejected,
The same was made the chief cornerstone,
Whoever falls on it will never go unaffected,
Will be broken to pieces such a marvellous stone,
That precious stone falls on any, he will be crushed.

The Growing Seed !
Kingdom of God is like a man who cast seed,
Then night and day with it he sleeps and wakes,
As and when he waters it,water its need,
It springs up and grows, wonder it makes.
He does not know, how the earth bears fruit?
Just the blade, then the ear, then the full grain,
When the fruit is ripe, takes sickle to harvest,
Gathers into barn, the whole he can't explain.
When he scatters the seed its so dormant,
No one knows its hidden vitality,
Suddenly it grows and becomes buoyant,
In full green its growth shows up potentiality.
He who plants or he who waters is nothing,
Growth is God's doing and it is everything.

The Creditor And The Two Debtors !
Two desperate debtors, certain lender had,
One owed him five hundred pence,
The other owed fifty pence, but both were sad,
They could not pay back, the lender forgave hence.
Which of them therefore will love him most?
"Whom he forgave most"answer most common,
"You have rightly judged"Jesus said at best,
Turned to the woman and said to Pharisee Simon,
I entered into your house, you gave me no water,
For my feet to wash, but this woman washed my feet,
With tears and wiped them with her hair,
You gave me no kiss,no hospitality to greet and treat.
But she has not ceased to kiss my feet,
My head with oil,you did no anointment,
Her sins may be many, repentance downs her beat,
But this woman anointed my feet with ointment.
Her sins are forgiven, for she loved much,
Those who love little, little is forgiven,
Go in peace, your sins are forgiven as such,
Before you were dead, now you really live in.

The Talents !
A man summoned all his servants excepting none,
Entrusted his goods to them according to ability,
Five talents to one,two to another,to another one,
To a distant country he started giving responsibility,
The one received five talents, had quick trading done.
His strategy fetched him besides another five talent,
He who received two talents made yet another two,
Who received one hid in the earth,an act malevolent,
After long lord of the servants came to find who is who,
He reconciled accounts with them, the lord so benevolent.
Lord you delivered to me five talents,I gained another five,
The lord praised him, that he was faithful over a few things,
Promised him to set on many things and make him thrive,
Enter in to the joy of your lord, that promise reward brings,
The faith the driving force made blessings at his door arrive.
Lord you delivered to me two talents I gained two more,
''Well done, good and faithful'' the Lord so commended,
Further said to him to place him on higher goals,he swore,
''Enter in to the joy of your Lord'' generously rewarded,
The faith of the servant fetched him a great honour.
He who received one talent came and said,
The lord was hard, would reap where he did not sow,
Gather where he did not scatter, toughness he found,
Out of fear of the lord he hid the talent in earth below,
''Behold,What is yours''I safely hid in the ground.
The Lord condemned him'wicked and slothful' outright,
He made the talent idle showed his own laziness,
Took his talent and gave it to the abundant with delight,
''Throw the unprofitable servant to the outer darkness,
Let him weep, gnash teeth, and have no sight''.

The Rich Man And Lazarus !
A rich man in purple and fine linen lived in fame ,
Led a life of luxury every day that was dreamt never ,
A beggar at his gate was in torments,Lazarus by name,
Used to wait for crumbs with sores,a desperate beggar,
Alas! even dogs licked his wounds, led a life of shame.
Lazarus died angels carried him to Abraham's bosom,
So happened the rich man also died ,he was buried,
In Hades, lifted up his eyes amid torments gruesome,
Found Lazarus up with Abraham, made him worried,
He prayed for mercy, could not be got by any ransom?
He begged Lazarus for water to drench his tongue,
"I am in torments,in flame and in great anguish,"
But 'You in lifetime had all good things,' no wrong
Abraham said,'Lazarus now comforted that's God's wish
In God's eye good and bad will equally boomerang
In between paradise and hell a great gulf rent,
The rich cried,'send Lazarus to my father's house,
All my five brothers in sinful life, make them repent,
Lazarus alone can testify them and to reality rouse.

New Cloth on an Old Garment !
No one puts a piece from a new garment,

New Wine in Old Wineskins !
No one puts new wine in old wineskins
New wine on fermenting builds up pressure,
Inevitably causes the bursting of the skins,
The wine spills, also destroys the container,
New wine must be put into fresh wineskins.
So doing both wine and skins are preserved,
No man having drunk old wine desires new,
For him the old is better thus he preferred,
The Holy Spirit ferments the believer anew,
Jewish leaders drank old wine,as they wished.
So drunk they killed the Messiah their master,
Gentiles accepted new covenant and new wine,
But the jews rejected the grace of God for ever,
For empty old skin they denied salvation benign,
New wine of the new covenant always sweeter.

New wine on fermenting builds up pressure,
Inevitably causes the bursting of the skins,
The wine spills, also destroys the container,
New wine must be put into fresh wineskins.
So doing both wine and skins are preserved,
No man having drunk old wine desires new,
For him the old is better thus he preferred,
The Holy Spirit ferments the believer anew,
Jewish leaders drank old wine,as they wished.
So drunk they killed the Messiah their master,
Gentiles accepted new covenant and new wine,
But the jews rejected the grace of God for ever,
For empty old skin they denied salvation benign,
New wine of the new covenant always sweeter.

The Ten Virgins !
The Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgin,
Who took the lamp to meet the bridegroom,
The five were wise, other five were foolish herein,
O!the foolish took no oil in the dark of gloom.
But the wise took oil in the vessels with the lamp,
The groom's arrival delayed,so slumber'd and slept,
'Bridegroom is coming' there was a cry in the camp,
Everyone got readied to meet the groom,it was midnight.
Those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps fast,
Foolish virgins were asking for oil, their lamps were out
Buy for yourself, our oil may not suffice till the feast,
As they went out,the bridegroom so soon came about.
Those who were ready went with him to the feast,
The other virgins came crying,'Lord open to us,O Lord',
The door was shut just to make the function go abreast,
" I have not known you" assuredly said the bard.
No one knows when the Son of Man is coming,
We neither know the day nor the hour,
But we can only keep watching and praying,
The day of coming is nearing so watch to endeavour.

The Workers in the Vineyard !
The kingdom of Heaven is like the generous master,
Of the household who went out early morning,
For his vineyard,to seek and hire working laborer,
Agreed for a dinarius per day workers were willing,
He sent them to his vineyard that was much nearer.
In the third hour some were idle in the marketplace,
He asked them also to go in to the vineyard,
Whatever is right I will give you out of my own grace,
Made their way forward believing on the accord,
Such a owner so much kind to the toiling workforce.
Again he went about on the sixth and ninth hour,
For he was too good again he did likewise,
Again on the eleventh hour some were idle there,
Why do you idle here?they said,"No one hired us",
Go to the vineyard you will receive rights whatever.
The Lord of the vineyard said to his steward,
"Call the laborers and pay their due wages"
The last came received a dinarius, raised eyes upward,
The first came expected much higher out of largess,
But received one only, they murmured against the Lord.
We have borne the burden of the scorching sun,
'Friend I am doing you no wrong, don't look aghast,
Paying equally is my desire and my right' no fun,
So the last will be the first and the first last,
For many are called only a few are chosen.

The Pharisee and the Tax Collector !
Two men went up into the temple to pray,
One was a Pharisee and the other,a tax collector,
Pharisee thanking in prayer with pride did say,
"I am not like the rest of men who are extortioner,
The unrighteous, adulterer and robber,
Why not, I am not even like this tax collector,
I do fast twice a week and I pay my tithes ever",
He spoke highly of himself, despised all other.
The tax collector stood afar, didn't even lift his eye,
Up to heaven but beat in humility his breast,
"God be merciful to me,me a sinner"he did decry,
Only the tax man was justified being the humblest.
He who exalts himself will ever be humbled,
He who humbles himself will never be stumbled.

The Wheat and the Weeds ( Tares ) !
The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man,
Who sowed good seed in his own field,
The people slept, enemy came with a plan,
Sowed darnel among the wheat, concealed.
When the blade sprang and brought forth fruit,
Along with the wheat, also appeared the darnel,
The servants asked, how darnel could take root,
The man said , enemy did it,the devil of the hell.
Don't gather up the darnel, may uproot the wheat,
Now let it grow together until the harvest time,
Time came reapers told to set the weeds to heat,
Let the wheat go to my barn,an alternate rhyme.
'The Wheat' children of God angels did admire,
'Weeds' children of devil angels put them to fire.

The Leaven ( Yeast ) !
The Kingdom of God is like the yeast,
Which a woman hid in the dough,
False teachings and malice, nature of beast,
The woman the devil leavened it to grow.
When yeast infects results in bloated growth,
Reflects only in malice and wickedness,
Hence the bread is without sincerity and truth,
Such dough only obtains no real happiness.
Be on guard against the yeast of Pharisees,
Representatives of bloated dogma of hot air,
An embodiment of arrogance and hypocrisies,
Little yeast pollutes the whole beware.
Oh! we need the very bread without leaven,
The true bread that came down from heaven.

The Mustard Seed !
To what shall I compare the Kingdom of God?
Parables make people comprehend without burden,
Its like a grain of mustard seed, said the Lord,
A man put the mustard seed in his own garden.
It so grew and became so large a tree,
With strong stem and with many branches,
The birds of the sky found a shelter free,
Here they lodged and built nests in tranches.
Birds of different hue enjoyed the whole tree,
Small faith as a mustard seed may bring forth grace,
With this little faith you can command the mulberry,
"Be uprooted and planted in the sea " it obeys.
The least and small becomes a mighty nation,
The Lord works wonder and thunders ovation.
