Certain ruler by name Jairus,
Came and worshipped Jesus,
My daughter is even now dead,
Lay your hand,Jesus was told.
Your hand upon her shall make her live,
Jesus arose and followed with disciples,
Jesus entered the house that she may thrive,
People were making noise also minstrels.
Jesus said that the maid is not dead,
But she only sleeps and they laughed,
Jesus went in and took her by hand,
She arose at once,she did sit and stand.
Hereof went abroad the miracle's fame,
Into all that land did spread Jesus name.
